Tralee, with its central location, is easily accessible to all parts of Kerry. It is only a few miles to the beautiful beaches of Banna, Ballyheigue and Castlegregory. Excellent watersports facilities are available. In July 2008 the Gul Topper Sailing World Championships were held at the Tralee Bay Sailing Club in Fenit. The Arnold Palmer designed Tralee Golf Course was selected as the 2007 golf course of the year by the Irish Golf Tour Operators Association. Fenit, Banna, Ballyheigue and Tralee Golf Course are all easily accessible from Coisceim Holiday Village via the new bypass road. Killarney with its lakes and mountains are only 20 miles away. Killorglin, the gateway to the Ring of Kerry is 16 miles distant, and the Dingle Peninsula with superb coastal and mountainous scenery ensures a not to be forgotten 30 mile drive to Dingle town. A visit to County Clare, to the magnificent Burren and the Cliffs of Moher is facilitated by the car ferry from Tarbert to Killimer.
