It is situated in perhaps the most scenic area of Ireland, and is approximately 3 miles from the picturesque village of Sneem, a thriving community which has many popular shops, restaurants and pubs. Property Description
The interior is spacious and open plan, with large windows to really appreciate the views. The front door opens into the immense reception area, which then opens into the dining area followed by the sitting room, leading onto the sun room. The open plan kitchen is separated from the dining area. There are three very spacious bedrooms (two double rooms with Queen size beds and one twin room) and two bathrooms leading off an octagonal landing.
The Locality
The bustling and friendly town of Kenmare is 25 minutes away by car. Shopping is excellent in Kenmare, with good food shops, a large supermarket and some lovely antique and craft shops. A visit to one of the galleries exhibiting paintings, ceramics and silverware by local artists is recommended. Killarney - the largest town in the area - is one hour away by car. For a scenic route, cross over the mountains via Molls Gap for truly breathtaking views.
Wildlife at Oysterbed
Try and go down to the Quay at high tide – early in the morning if possible, when no-one is around – and just watch, listen, and absorb the stunning beauty and tranquillity of the Bay. You will see and hear the local wildlife – Herons, Cormorants, Gannets and Grey Seals, and with luck you may catch sight of the Sea Otters who play and catch their breakfast just off the Pier.
