Spacious contemporary interior, equipped to the highest standards, including underfloor electric heating, fully fitted kitchen, open fireplace, DVD and satellite TV (Sky Premium optional). This is a great property for young and old alike. The house is well laid out and in a large secure garden with great views towards Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. The information pack provided by the owners is comprehensive about the house and the area. This was our first time in the Westport area and the cottage is ideally placed for the adventurous (hill walking, riding, kayaking, sailing etc) as well as those seeking a more sedate holiday (a great beach about 10 mins walk along a quiet country lane as well as general site seeing). Westport is less than 15 minutes drive and provides a variety of attractions. There are good pubs in nearby Lecanvey and Louisburgh. The booking was straightforward and the caretaker was very helpful - especially as he gave me a tip for the 2009 Derby!!! I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Spent 3 glorious weeks enjoying the spectacular country, the warm and friendly people and the very comfortable holiday house. It was a peaceful and relaxing time that we shared with family and friends. Hope to do it again!

Incredible views -- on one side, Croagh Patrick; on the other, Clew Bay. Convenient to Westport and Louisburgh for shopping/dining, yet retains a countryside feel. Above all, a beautifully designed cottage -- appealing on every level, both aesthetic and practical. Great folks and and great value, too.
