Foxford meaning 'mouth of the cataract' or 'rushing water' is an old, well-established County Mayo town. It is situated at the river Moy and nestled between the Ox and Nephin mountains. It is home to the famous Foxford Woolen Mills and has much to entertain its visitors with a visitor centre, outdoor activities, fishing and walking. Visitors have found that walking the Foxford Way (an 86km trail approved by Bórd Fáilte) is an excellent way to take in the beautiful scenery of bog lands, boreens, lake shores, mountains and riverbanks. The River Moy is known for its salmon fishing, (producing several thousand salmon to the rod annually) and the nearby Lough Conn and Lough Cullin (in Pontoon) are famous for its brown trout. Pontoon is an ideal location for exploring the rest of Mayo and is a one-hour drive away from Galway and Sligo city. Cullin House is located in Pontoon and the nearest town is Foxford.

Cullin House sleeps eight to ten people. There are two double bedrooms with en-suites, two twin bedrooms, one with two single beds, one with bunk beds and a cot to facilitate infants and a mezzanine with a pull out bed sofa. The family bathroom includes a luxurious freestanding bath and power shower. All linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences including dish washer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric cooker, iron, ironing board, crockery and cutlery. In the summer, the barbeque can be fired up. For entertainment on rainy days Cullin House has Satellite TV with cinema surround sound, DVD player and a deck of cards!
