Independent house in a converted barn on organic hill farm

The accomodation consists of a flat at first-floor level in a converted barn with beams and stone walls. This completely independent pretty house near a 300 year-old oak tree is in the hills near Bologna and is part of a big organic farm with 20 ha of vineyards, orchards and arable land. The farm named LA FAGGIOLA has a wood, a small private lake for fishing, 12 targets for archery. The farm is on the edge of a regional nature park for hiking mountain biking, and excursions. Nearby there are good cheap local restaurants and several swimming pools. Day trips are possible to PARMA, MANTUA, RAVENNA, VERONA, FLORENCE, MODENA, FERRARA and the beaches of the Adriatic sea..

It is possible to follow educational lessons about making bread, typical pasta, traditional cakes and jams. It is possible to make wine from varieties of grapes gown only in the Bolognese hills and then it is possible to spend time with all our animals like tinj tibetan goats, two ponies and donkey rabbits, little pigs, chickens and ducks. Mountain bikes, archery equipment and a barbeque are available to guests, who can fish in the small lake in the wood through which the house is approached,and are welcome to participate in the life of the farm.

The property is on the farm named ' La Faggiola' which is on the edge of a regional nature park,at the centre of which there is an interesting 11th -century abbey with a castle .Within a few km are villages with all the necessary shops, good restaurants and an open - air swimming - pool. The nearest place of any size is Vignola with an impressive and intriguing castle, a little farther is Maranello with the Ferrari visitors centre and then Bologna with the two leaning towers and the oldest university in Europe, Modena with romanesque cathedral, Ravenna with great byzantine mosaic, Mantua with Mantegna murals and Ferrara with castle and historic centre .
