Aussie Travellers Enjoy Comforts of Villa Rosi.
Review Submitted: November 11, 2010
Date of Stay: October 2010
Following our coach tour through Southern Europe during September/October 2010, us 12 seniors had planned to have a quiet sojourn in the Villa Rosi we had earlier reviewed in the rental literature (Property 1590).
We drove separately from our previous stay in Florence and, on our arrival at the Villa, were pleasantly surprised to find a truly restored rustic stone house with the necessary facilities to accommodate us comfortably. Obviously, with 12 adults in-house at one time, we had to schedule cooking, dining and bathing times for our mutual benefit, but despite our numbers, we enjoyed a cosy stay together.
Generally, we enjoyed good weather to view the local scenery and towns, also used the Villa as a base for motoring forays to well-known places and cities such as Parma, Salsomaggiore, Cremona, Verona and Lake Garda, the Cinque Terre, Venice as well as other towns and villages enroute.
The owner provided good customer service with a cousin in the local village able to liaise when we first arrived as well as giving general information. She was also responsible for providing a beautiful home-cooked lasagne in the frig for our use on arrival - a great touch!
Due to our enjoyable stay in this beautifully-appointed Villa, we have no hesitation in recommending this property to our friends or to other travellers.
Kind regards and many thanks,
John & Jill Shaw.
