We have just spent 4 nights in this family-friendly and well-thought-out apartment. The lodge was spotless and the beds extremely comfortable. The views from any window or the sunlit balcony were stunning - of roaming hills and snow-capped mountains. Robert and Margaret gave us a warm welcome and included thoughtful items such as milk, wine and other provisions. They provided us with a laundry service and internet access and were able to answer all our many questions about the village, locality and in fact the whole of Italy! There are so many books, videos and games in the lodge that it is not even necessary to go outside if you don't want to. The village of Villa Minozza is a short and beautiful walk away and has everything you could need: supermarkets; post office; bank; gelateria; pizzerias and restaurants; play park with tennis courts and open air swimming pool (in the summer). Within a short distance (2-10 mins' drive) are the river, horse riding centre, parmiggiano reggiano factory, and mountain walking. A car is an absolute essential and it is worth bearing in mind all those windy mountain roads and hairpin bends when planning excursions further afield. Overall, a relaxing, comfortable, attractive, quiet and affordable apartment in stunning surroundings, off the beaten tourist track, that we would recommend to anyone who can climb stairs.
