Ischia is the larger of the two islands, and can take a number of days to investigate the island properly. The Island of Capri stands on the southern tip of the Bay of Naples, and is possibly the smarter of the two islands. With spots to sunbathe all around the island, it is the more famous beach destination, but unlike Ischia, does not have its own diving schools. This is merely academic as the majority of dive schools in the area will take you out to the island to dive anyway! The Blue Grotto and the Faragliono are some of the most beautiful natural sights you can discover from Capri accommodation, and the capital of the island, Capri, is an absolutely delightful place to stroll. There is an amazing amount of history associated with the island, especially when you consider its size. It is the sight of imperial courts, large monasteries and the Villa Jovis, from which Emperor Tiberius ruled the Roman Empire!
