The ancient Chapel of Santa Brigida (1425) is 7km inland and at 425m. altitude. The area is now given to oak & deciduous groves above 350m. with extensive olive plantations down to the Coast.(An easy 20 min. drive) In summer about 2 deg. cooler than the beach with beautifully sweet, pure air. Local treks, walks and woods are signposted. Two villages (Dolcedo, Civezza) offer bank, post office, pizzerias, cafes, pharmacy. Nice, Monte Carlo, Ventimiglia, Menton are 1 hour as are Alassio, San Remo, Tende and Triora.
