Argegno offers the authentic lakeside experience where you will mix freely with the welcoming locals. This pretty fishing village is famous for it's autenticity as a local lakeside village unaffected and unspoilt by hoards of tourists. Visit the bakery for freshly made bread and cakes, Mario's fruit and vegfor the freshest seasonal ingredients or treat yourself to one of Zoe's delicous home made icecreams. The village is home to all amenities from bank to chemist, post office to cafes and bars not to mention a fine selection of resturants from fine dining to rustic italian fayre. Cafe Columbo is a favourite of clients (free buffet 6-8pm)
Out and about the lake, choose from Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo (20 minutes by car). Beautiful gardens in many styles with lake views to die for!
Villa Serbollini in Bellagio with unrivalled panoramic views is a fantstic day out.
Ski:
Skiing 40 mins drive in Lanzo (small resort) or 90 mins Madesimo or 2 hours San Moritz
Golf:
Golf club 15 mins drive in Menaggio
