Palazzetto Come and enjoy the long warm evenings under the pergola running along our 19th century country house and taste the wine from our characteristic cellar. You can relax in the long garden which slopes down to an ancient Franciscan monastery still in use. You may have your meals either inside the house or outside in the garden. The accommodation to rent consists of one flat on the ground floor and two other bedrooms each with its own bathroom on the first and second floors. These can be rented together or just in part. The owners, one of whom is English, also live in the house and are happy to advise and help their guests in any way.

If you choose this unit you will have on the ground floor the apartment (a double bedroom, a newly renovated bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with French windows opening out onto the garden). On the first floor or second floor you will also have a double bedroom with its own bathroom. The bedroom is connected to the flat by a staircase. You will have the exclusive use of all that you rent.

We will be very pleased to give you any tourist information you require and take you on our guided tour.

Perfect place for your vacation

What can I say? Just WOW. The house is really very nice, especially if you like the old houses with the history. Nice patio for evening glass of wine, which was very relaxing. The owners are very nice people. Ask them for sure to show you the old cellar, it’s a very nice cellar. They will always help you with the advice what to do, what to see and where to go. Try a real Italian grapes from the garden. If you will go to the small family super market, not far from the house, say hello to meat man:) We will return for our vacation for sure! Hello and thank you from Germany!!!

Palazzetto, near Lake Como.

We stayed at Palazzetto the last week in July / first week in August. The weather was glorious, and we were able to enjoy our meals sitting out in the garden the whole time, which was very relaxing.
The property has a really authentic Italian feel, is well equiped and in a quiet position. Felicity and Andrea, the owners, are very helpful. They have a wealth of local knowledge and gave useful advice which helped us to make the most of our stay.
We visited Lecco and Como, and took boat trips to many of the beautiful towns on the lake. From Como we went on the "Two Beautiful Lakes" trip, using public transport, which takes you up to Lake Lugano. We also were able (with an early start) to drive over to Lake Maggiore and enjoy the fabulous "Lake Maggiore Express" which is a great experience. The beautiful old city of Bergamo and Lake Iseo are also easy to reach and well worth a visit.
Whilst Palazzetto is conveniently placed for visiting the lakes, we would also recommend the beautiful Adda valley. In particular, Brevio and Imbersago are especially lovely. There is a super outdoor swimming pool at Imbersago. There are lovely walks along the river, and also around the small Lake, Sartirana. This lake is a short stroll from Palazzetto. Also nearby is the Montevecchia national park.From the little town at the top there are breathtaking views of the whole area.
We would highly recommend this comfortable property to anyone who wants to explore the area. There is so much to do and see.

Excellent base for visiting the Northern Lakes

although not a lakeside property, this town has a wonderful weekly market which is well worth a visit. There are various local parks and walking areas, and great tourist advice from the owners of the property, The lady of the house is English fluent in Italian, and the gentleman of the house is Italian fluent in English, great for first time visitors to the country with little grasp of the language. There are some wonderful restraunts in the area one of which we have visited several times and they even took my 6 year old daughter into the Kitchen to cook pizza, Luna Rosso in Brevia. Athough the apartment is quite basic, it has a wonderful feel of the traditional Italian villa, with shutters on the doors and windows, the living/dining area is large enough to seat 6 if all the rooms are needed, and the kitchen reasonably equipped to cook for a family.
I would reccomend hiring a car for this destination to get full advantage of the area, but there are local bus and train services which you can take if needed at not too higher price. There are lots of supermakets in the area, from the cheap and cheerful Pennymarket which had lots of cheap local produce (like Lidle) and Essalunga which is more expensive but with lots of choice (like Sainsburys). My family have rented this property 4 times now and hope to return sometime in the future.
