Escape the crowds and traffic noise of many lakeside villages and stay at our stylish elevated upper floor (allows stunning panoramic lake views) apartment on small hillside development in a quiet charming sunny mountain village. Cool off in the shared pool (summer months). The living/dining room with leather furniture has a wood burning stove, ideal for cosy winter evenings. Large patio doors leading to a sunny, south west facing balcony, which provides for a great view down upon Lake Como and romantic sunset suppers. The modern fully equipped kitchen also has a balcony that overlooks the pool and benefits from early morning sun; allowing you to monitor the children in the pool whilst enjoying the first cappuccino of the day. There are two open plan bedrooms; one king size, one twin, and a double sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom (shower, not bath) is fully fitted and tiled. There is full central heating and double glazing throughout and a shared private underground garage.

• Add £65 to rental rates for final cleaning and washing of towels and linen.
  
• October - March, heating £50 extra/per week. Security deposit £100. Midweek changeover considered especially in low season. General

Como, fashionable Milan, and San Moritz (Switzerland) are within easy reach. For those wishing to explore further afield visit romantic Verona and Venice. Visit Colico, Varenna and Bellagio and Gravedona and the many markets held in the lakeside towns. Ryanair (Luton, Stansted, Liverpool), offer low cost flights to Milan. Jet2 and KLM offer flights from Leeds Bradford to Milan. Alitalia offer flights from Manchester. Also Jet2 from Leeds Bradford and Manchester to Venice, Nice and Pisa for a two centre holiday. Steps to apartment may prove difficult for pushchairs and toddlers. Young children/non swimmers must be supervised as the pool is close to the apartment door. Playground next to church.

Activites

Summer activites include mountain biking, walking, surfing, canoeing, sailing, fishing, lake swimming, tennis, golf. Winter activites include walking, skiing, snow-shoeing, tobogganing, ice-skating, hot air ballooning. Check out Christmas and New Year rates - spend Christmas in a stunning location with easy access to ski slopes. View firework displays along the length of the lake from the comfort of the apartment on New Years Eve.

Skiing Information:

Our apartment is ideally situated (Northern end of Lake Como, close to Switzerland) for those who wish to ski. Skiing is available at resorts including Madesimo, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Aprica, San Moritz (Switzerland) and Livigno. The closest is Madesimo (50 kms) . Madesimo is a small resort in the Spluga Valley on the Swiss border. It enjoys a reputation for being reasonably priced. Situated at a height 1500m, with skiing up to 2900m, it has a reliable snow record.
