Large comfortable living rooms with beamed ceilings, tiled floors, log fires, TV/DVD/Stereo. Fully equipped kitchens with granite worktops, luxury bathrooms and separate comfortable bedroom. Each apartment has its own private garden or terrace, outside cooking on barbecues and traditional brick bread oven. (Perfect for pizzas). This first floor apartment is named after the writer Giacomo Leopardi. Stand on the terrazza and marvel at the stars which inspired his poem Infinity. The large living room has original timber beams, tiled floors panoramic views to the south and east from the windows and glazed door leading to the large (5 x 3m) terrazza. There are 2 comfortable sofas, TV, DVD and stereo. The kitchen area is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and toaster. The living room is separated from the bedroom and bathroom by a small corridor which makes it perfect for 3/4 people where privacy is important. The bedroom has a large comfortable double bed and the modern bathroom has a luxury shower. The terrazza is the perfect location for relaxing and outdoor dining, guests are encouraged to help themselves to fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs from our garden.

Casal dei Fichi is 2km from the small walled medieval town of Francavilla d'Ete with restaurant, bars, shops, bank and historic churches. We are 30 mins from the Adriatic coast where beaches range from secluded coves to vibrant lidos with bars, restaurants and nightclubs. 30 Minutes in the other direction the Siblini mountains offer superb walking, mountain biking and scenery. Several renaissance walled towns are within 15 minutes, many can be seen from the house. Macerata, with its famous outdoor Opera festival, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno and Lorreto are close by and the Umbrian gems of Assisi and Perugia are within 2 hours, as is Urbino. Stunning views start on our doorstep and extend for miles.

  • The bedroom of Leopardi looks out over the fig trees to the orchard and vineyard. Like most of the bedrooms it faces north and so stays cool in the hot summer months. Living room and bedroom have independent access to bathroom. Cot and highchair available on request. In the living room is a double luxury sofabed which converts in seconds back to a large relaxing sofa.

Notes: From Spring through to Autumn with hold a complementary Pizza night once a week using our original outdoor brick oven. Here you will get to roll out and put toppings on your very own pizza. Put it in the oven and watch it bake in just 3 or 4 minutes. If it doesn't work - no problem just try another one! In the landscaped grounds you will find an orchard and a herb & vegetable garden. We encourage you to take what you need and enjoy fresh produce daily with our complements. You will also find a cookbook in the apartment in case you are looking for some inspiration!
