Converted traditonal country farmhouse

This recently (July 2006) restored farmhouse is located just outside the town of Loro Piceno with its local speciality 'vino cotto' wine industry. It is set in 15 acres of our own farmland including vines, olive trees, and fruit and nut trees. South-facing, it enjoys panoramic views over the rolling countryside. T he accommodation offers 2 apartments, the first floor one sleeping 5 in a double bed, 2 single beds and a divan-bed in the living room. This apartment has a covered veranda. The ground floor one has a double bedroom and one with 3 single beds. Both apartments have a large farmhouse kitchen/dining room and either a bathroom or shower room. Outside there is an internally illuminated 6 x 12 metre private swimming pool that is in view of both apartments. Outdoor lighting has been installed in the garden.

This ground floor apartment provides a double bedroom with king-size bed and a triple room with 3 single beds. There is a large farmhouse kitchen/dining room with table and chairs for 6 people. A separate living room will include a log-burning stove, and has two double settees and a single chair. There is a digital TV with a combined video/CVC/CD/MP3 player. Large double doors lead to the outside terrace, where there is a gazebo for summer use. The kitchen is fully equipped with all main appliances. The family bathroom has a shower, handbasin, bidet and WC, and has a shaving mirror with electrical point. There is underfloor heating, and free-standing fans for summer use. In the garden there is a gazebo, and a summer house near to the pool with outside terrace, and shower and toilet inside.

Le Marche is known as 'undiscovered Italy', and is relatively untouched by tourism. However, it is steeped in history and culture, stretching back to Roman times. The farmhouse is located about 1 mile outside the medieval hilltop town of Loro Piceno, and is only 20 minutes from the regional centre of Macerata, which is famed for its annual music festival in August. The traditional, unhurried pace of life continues its seasonal rhythms as it has done for centuries. The local restaurants and bars present a delightful range of local dishes and wines of great quality.
