Agriturismo in the middle of the green hills of the Marche
Right in the middle of the green hills of the Marche, just a few kilometres from Mount Catria and the monastery Fonte Avellana, have we, the Swiss family Meyer – Metzler, restored a hamlet of more than two hundred-year-old, traditional stone houses. Surrounded by pastureland and forests, a comfortable destination for your vacation has been created. We have made ourselves at home on our farm, the Azienda Agricola alla Vecchia Quercia. We, Corinne and Roland, Heidi and Gerhard, are happy to accommodate guests from all over the world.

The Marche region provides numerous activities for you:In spring you can hike in the foothills of the Appenines or discover the country on horseback. The many narrow and winding roads invite mountain bikers and motorcyclists alike. In fall you can visit the many colourful markets. There are special truffle markets in Pergola and Aqualagna, many weekly markets in the surrounding towns, and also the ones where antiquities are sold. These events provide you with plenty of opportunities to try one of the local cuisines with their tasty specialities or just to indulge yourself in the crowd and enjoy the atmosphere. The well known, culturally interesting cities of the Marche like Urbino, Castelleone di Suasa, Mondavio, Gradara or Frasassi are also worth a visit. One can actually fall in love with them while admiring the fine examples of medieval architecture, the still visible remnants from Roman times or simply the natural beauties.
