Il Casale is a lovingly restored farmhouse situated just outside the medieval town of Mogliano. Looking over an expansive and beautifully kept garden It faces the Sibillini mountain range. Around two sides of the house is a loggia which affords shady areas for meals or simply for relaxing, and there is even an outside oven for authentic wood cooked pizzas. Inside the house, there are exposed walls and wooden beams downstairs, and parquet flooring upstairs, combining perfectly tradition and comfort. All in all a wonderful house to completely unwind in.There is an 8 x 4m swimming pool, and the nearest neighbour is 500m away!

Il Casale stands at 313m above sea level, just outside the beautiful medieval town of Mogliano. It is close both to the Sibillini mountain range and National Park with its many walks and excursions, and the golden beaches of the Adriatic.

By car you can easily reach Ravenna, Loreto, Assisi, Recanati. Bologna and Rome are just 3 hours away, and the stunningly beautiful Florence, just 4 hours- (also easily accessible by train).

Skiing - There is a ski resort at Sassotetto, near Sarnano in the Sibillini mountains which is just 40 minutes away. Urbisaglia- 10 km away is the fascinating archealogical site of Urbs Salvia, with its ampitheatre (at which events are held regularly throughout the summer) theatre, temple and acquedotto. Macerata Open-Air Opera Festival - The open-air opera festival in July is known internationally and takes place in the 7,000-seater Sferisterio with its awesome natural acoustics.

Wonderful house, up a quiet road, all on its own in the middle of beautiful, hilly countryside. You can watch the sun set behind the Sibillini Mountains, and sit outside under the vine pergola drinking wine. The pool is blissful, set in the garden surrounding the house, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Spotted around the area are the lovely hill towns. We especially enjoyed our evening Margueritas in quiet Mogliano, which overlooks the hills. Not to be missed neither are Macerata and Cingoli.

We spent one week at Il Casale and had a wonderful time in this peaceful setting, using it as a base from which to travel along the Adriatic. It's a little off the beaten path, but worth the drive. You'll need a vehicle for getting around, the home is spacious and very modern. Lovely stone and wood construction.
