La Cascina:
Situated at the northern end of the beautiful Sibillini Mountain National Park, La Cascina is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. The house has a large covered terrace for al fresco dining and the pool area is ideal to spend lazy days in the glorious Italian sunshine. The spacious top terrace, adjacent to the first floor sitting room enjoys views of the forest and the Sibillini mountains. A good venue for a sunny breakfast or for savouring evening sundowners. From the house, various mountain tracks lead to the forest and the hills. An excellent venue for walkers and naturalists who will enjoy the abundance of flora and fauna that flourish in the National Park. Visitors might even be lucky enough to spot a beautiful black squirrell or see an eagle soaring above the trees of the forest.
The House:
The house was extensively refurbished a few years ago by the current owners and now provides comfortable accommodation for visitors who are looking for a tranquil holiday. From the well equipped kitchen and bathrooms to the nicely furnished bedrooms, the owners have sought to provide every amenity required by family parties. Externally, there is a well tended garden, leading down to a very private pool area which has separate toilet and shower facilities. The owners provide all cleaning services for the pool and house. The property has several hectares of land adjacent to the house, laid out with fruit trees, and an area that the owners are cultivating in order to encourage truffles to grow.
Around and About:
Excursions from La Cascina are available to suit all tastes. Stunning hill top towns where time seems to have stood still, provide visitors with a taste of the real Italian 'dolce vita'. Le Marche is still very much an 'undiscovered' part of Italy and the traditions and lifestyle of the Marchigiane living in the small villages remain largely unchanged. A short drive will take you to the Adriatic coast to savour the beachside restaurants that fringe the palm-tree lined promenades. Assisi is just over an hour by car, and Ascoli Piceno with its stunning marble piazza is an essential excursion. Or, nearer to home, take a breathtaking drive through the mountains. Explore local markets and the plethora of outlet factories eg Armani, Tod's and Prada to discover the bargains. Or just relax 'a casa' and cook up a barbecue. Whatever your preference, La Cascina will provide a first class base for your Italian vacanza.
