Casa Scrucchi is a beautiful, sympathetically restored 19th century farmhouse, offering spacious luxury in a very private and peaceful rural setting, with a spectacular 15m swimming pool. The house is 3km from San Ginesio, a lovely medieval walled town in the Le Marche region of central eastern Italy. San Ginesio is close to the Sibillini Mountains, but only a 45 min drive to the coast. The house has 4 double bedrooms, 3 receptions, 3 bathrooms and a large well equipped kitchen/dining room. A separate sitting/TV room also has sprung double sofa bed. Set in 1.75 acres of garden (comprised mainly of lawn, olive and fruit trees), the house is surrounded by arable farmland amidst rolling valleys. There are 4 large patio areas (2 shaded) as well as an outside Table-Tennis area and Pizza oven. There are trails close to the house for walking and cycling, as well as more options for cycling on quiet country roads or in the Sibillini national park, the entrance to which is a 10min drive away.

San Ginesio, in common with practically all old villages in the area, sits on top of a hill with commanding views and serious fortifications. To the south and west are the Sibillini mountains, while in other directions lie more hilltop towns as far as the eye can see. The national park within the Sibillini is just a 15 minute drive away, and has more pretty villages, as well as the nearby Lake Fiastra, where you can swim and hire canoes.

Notes: The main sitting room, on the ground floor, is spacious and comfortable, with an open fire for the cooler months, and 3 comfortable leather sofas and chair. This room has a CD/MD player and IPOD connection There are a number of CDs & MDs in the house, but you're welcome to bring your own. The kitchen also has a CD player and a BOSE IPOD speaker. In one odf the upstairs sitting rooms there is a DVD and Video player with a large selection of both, including many films and wild-life programs. There is also an IPOD speaker /charger in the master bedroom. In addition to the cooking facilities in the kitchen, there is an old-fashioned wood-fired pizza oven, built as part of an outbuilding between the house and the pool. The oven is ideal for bread-making and slow-cooking dishes such as lasagne and roast meats.
