Nice view is accurate. House is a bit run down.

We definitely agreed with some of the revues about the farmhouse. The view is beautiful on a clear day. However we found the house a bit run down. I'll give you a few examples:
- the toiliet seat was broken on arrival
- when we wanted to go cycling, one of the bikes had a flat tyre, and there was no repair kit
- the dishwasher was too small for 8 people
- one of the lounge chairs was broken.
We were very surprised when we rented the accommodation, that we could easily gain access to the house (the key being hidden outside) and that we weren't met by anyone ant that we didn't need to pay a deposit for breakages.
Then we discovered why!
In one of the folders made up by Kevin, it told us that the farmhouse was up for sale, and it fact had been for the past few years. Kevin and his family had grown tired of it and wanted to get rid of it!. That would explain the run down feeling it had. A pity, because it has a lot of potential.
Furthermore, the house is rather impractical. The kitchen is up two flights of stairs and the swimming pool is really not suitable for very small children, since the sides of the pool slope and children cannot get out very easily.
I hope that Kevin manages to sell the property soon, so that it can be restored to its full potential.
We really felt that it was rather overpriced(more than 2000 euros in the high season).

Owner's Response: Once the housekeeper was told of the broken toilet seat it was repaired at once. There are repair patches for the cycles in the draw in the main lounge.A new full size dishwasher was installed in October 2010. the lounge chair is a sun lounger chair which has been replaced. The house is located in an almost crime free area you can leave the door wide open 24 hours a day . Until now we rely on trust regarding damages if something is broken by the guest we expect it repaired or replaced , toilet seats, cups, glasses do get broken. we don't like the idea of someone checking up on what departing guests have damaged when they are ready to leave. We did have it up for sale but it has now not for sale there are various private reasons for this. Two flights of stairs is actually 10 steps. The pool is big and 2 metres deep at the deepest point it is ideal for swimming , juping in and having a great time the sides slope slightly this makes it easier to get out, it also has larges wide steps for getting in and out. A pool safe for very small children would be a paddling pool.We constantly upgrade the house since October this year we have renewed the sink, worktops, taps and an additional unit have been installed in the kitchen.we have replaced the beds in the 1st floor twin and replaced other mattresses .2 new wardrobes and 2 new chests of draws have been replaced in the bedrooms, a digital flat screen TV has also been put in the lounge as well as 2 new sofas the 3 upstairs sofas have had new covers. Lots of contact numbers are left at the house if guests have any concerns re the housekeeping ,garden, pool or any thing not working properly there is a phone number for them to ring and the response will be immediate. We try very hard to make everything as nice as possible for our clients we have never skimped on payments to local staff looking after the house. I think the high season price is a fair price for the size of the house and pool and for just 1 week in the ultimate prime time. A one bedroomed apartment in a block of 20 with a shared pool not much bigger than ours cost 950 euro for the same week in Porto Recanati this year? .
