Extremely comfortable, carefully renovated, detached stone farmhouse. Peaceful and secluded hill-side setting, with beautiful views from the sunny terrace. Conveniently located for both seaside and mountains (16m dual carriage-way in each direction) and within easy reach of many famous tourist/cultural attractions such as Urbino, Gubbio and San Marino. Casa Mandorla is fully-furnished and equipped with everything necessary for a relaxing, away-from-it-all holiday. It is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, excellent for walking and nature lovers. The wild-flowers, bird life and butterflies are astounding, particularly in the early part of the summer season. Casa Mandorla is ideal for people, groups of friends, or families who want to be on their own to relax and unwind. Nearest village (with supermarket, bank, bar etc.) is 3min by car.

Casa Mandorla is set on a small plateau on the mountainside, at an altitude of 350m (1,150 ft). The air here is very good. There are views over the completely undeveloped Taruga valley to the twin Apennine peaks of Monte Catria and Monte Nerone in the middle distance, both over 5000 feet. The sandy, Blue Flag beaches at resorts of Fano (30 mins), Marotta and Senigallia all offer safe swimming and a full range of water-sports. Casa Mandorla is surrounded by agricultural fields interspersed with natural woodland. Immediate grounds planted with oleander, cherry, olive and shady acacia trees. The local village of Isola di Fano is 3 mins by car and has a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank, post office etc. There are several excellent restaurants within a ten minute drive. Swimming pool and sports complex in nearby Fossombrone.

  • A (hopefully!) refundable security/damage deposit of 300 euro or £200 is required on arrival.
    50% (non refundable) of the rental rate is required to secure the booking, remainder payable on arrival in either pounds or euro equivalent, cash or cheque or in advance by UK bank transfer. (The deposit may be carried forward to the following year, if you are obliged to cancel. We have already done this once.)
    Discounts for stays longer than two weeks.
  • Please note that the rates given above are for four person occupancy only. A supplement of £20 per week is payable for each extra person to cover extra water, electricity costs etc.

'Had a terrific week ... very comfortable here at Casa Mandorla ... thanks for making us so welcome.'

'A splendid week .. great scenery, art, history abounds. We heard a nightingale one night (or was it the grappa?) The fireflies were at their best (June) but we missed the porcupines. Excellent painting territory.'

The days we spent here were very special - you have a lovely house, very well-equipped .. so much more than a 'holiday-let.'
