Ancient stone-built country cottage, carefully restored and furnished with taste, has breathtaking mountain views surrounded by a wide land with luxuriant vegetation. Wooden beam and old terracotta tile ceilings; divided into one floor with a day zone and a night zone in 170m2. Spacious living room that communicates by means of an archway with the equipped kitchen (freezer, oven , wood burning oven, microwave), 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Comfortable furniture. Equipped sun-trap terrace with pretty view of the hills and Caglis' town. CAGLI IS FANTASTICALLY POSITIONED FOR TOURING LE MARCHE AREA because in a few minutes you can see the villages on the sea (30 minutes by car) or historical village like Urbino (25 minutes), Urbania (20 minutes), the mountain like Monte Petrano, Catria and Nerone (15-30 minutes by car). You can also visit Loreto (one hour).

The magnificent scenery of the centre of Cagli and the fascinating examples of the roman origins of the town ( Ponte Mallio, intact after two thousand years) and of its medioeval, baroque and 19th century architecture and arts, together with the natural treasures (for example, the Furlo Gorge and its natural reserve; then the Adriatic Coast, about 45 kilometers away), make this area, in the foothills of the Marche Apennines, the ideal destination for students and tourists searching for a tranquil lifestyle, as well as opportunities and events during their stay: the theatrical season, the truffle fair in Acqualagna and Sant'Angelo in Vado (October-November), the food and wine, cultural and natural itineraries are difficult to say no to.

  • The balance due has to be paid at the beginning of your holiday, together with a 250 euros security deposit, which will be returned to you at the end of your holiday, all being well. A deposit of 40% of the balance is payable to secure booking dated. Price does not include: electricity, water, gas and final cleaning. Linen are provided. Rental periods commence on Saturday afternoons. We would ask that you do not arrive before 5:00pm to ensure that the property is ready for your arrival, and departing time is 12:00am (Saturday). Cancellations: If booking is cancelled three month before the chosen date for the holiday, the booking fee will be refunded with a € 100,00 deduction. If booking is cancelled between the 90th and the 45th day in advance, € 100,00 will be refunded. Nothing will be refunded for cancellations arrived 44 days preceding the chosen date.

Well placed for exploring the historic towns of the Marche and Umbria - Urbino and Gubbio are 30 minutes away. Urbino itself boasts half a dozen major attractions but there are dozens of other magnificent towns - including Fano, Pesaro, Senigallia, San Leo, Loreto, Jesi - and numerous medieval hill villages to stumble across with hardly a tourist in sight. A walk through the alpine flowers in the upland meadows, a swim in high summer in the rock pools of Cagli’s two rivers (10 minutes walking), and a visit to the late autumn truffle fair in Acqualagna are among the attractions that give this area its particular fascination.

For those who enjoy the pleasures of nature, there are a lot of activities to do such as, Trekking and guided walks through breath-taking mountain countryside where the beauty of the natural landscape and the medieval splendour of villages and churches sett each other off. Mountain bike tours along gentle routes or riverside tracks, or more arduous journeys over undulating grassy mountain slopes. On horseback along ridges overlooking unspoiled valleys and country villages which remain unaltered from time immemorial. A kite-flying paradise on the verdant mountain top plain of Monte Petrano. This favourite meeting place for enthusiasts provides a natural grandstand where you can enjoy staggering 360 degree views across the vast panorama of the Apennine range and down as far as the distant Adriatic Sea, which is visible on clear days. The countryside is rich in so many other natural treasures such as feasting your eyes on the carpets of mountain flowers or go bird-watching.
