Bracciano, situated between Rome and Viterbo, has a population of approximately 15,000 inhabitants. Its lake, Natural Park and Botanical Gardens of San Liberato are wonderful attractions for nature-lovers, while the 15 th -century Orsini-Odescalchi Castle, the Church of Santa Maria Novella, the Santo Stefano Cathedral, the old town, & the Historical Military Aircraft Museum are of great historical & artistic interest. There is a comfortable rail link (FM3) from Bracciano to Rome: Saint Peter's station, (around 50 min). Viterbo, an ancient medieval town famous for its well-preserved historic centre, may also be reached either with the same rail link (FM3).Etruscan sites of great archaeological interest such as Cerveteri & Pyrgi, are only about 15 minutes from Bracciano by car. The Etruscan Necropolis of Cerveteri was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2004. Bracciano has several beautiful beaches & sailing club.

Villa exceeded the discription in every way and we were very satisfied with it. We had a group of 6 adults plus 2 children under age of 3 and we found the property very suitable for small kids as well. Second floor terrace was incredibly nice to spend a hot summer day with a perfect post card view to lake Bracciano. We also appreciated the indoor cooking facilities. Owners provided very friendly and good customer service. We all would recommend this property for friends and are hoping to visit Bracciano again in the future as well as hoping to stay in same holiday house.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Fantastic villa, great location, wonderful time

The house is as described - gorgeous villa with breathtaking views over Lake Bracciano. Just 5 minutes to the town centre with its delicious Italian ice creams, coffees, restaurants, authentic Italian village life (not touristic). Enjoyed the pedalos on the lake, beaches at San Marinella and Santa Severa. Owners were very helpful, even when we got stranded by the volcanic cloud. Quiet enough to really relax, close enough to Rome by train to make day trips. Make sure to enjoy the pasta from Pasta a L'Uovo, proscuitto di Parma & San Daniele, Parmigiano and the local wines. Would recommend highly.
