Great trip to Rome in a nice apartment

We stayed with our 3 teenage children in this apartment for 5 nights and had a wonderful visit. The apartment is clean and large enough for the 5 of us. It is a great alternative to a hotel because there are 5 in our family and always need to have 2 rooms - this is a much less expensive option. We had breakfast every morning in the apartment - it is well stocked with all dishes (no coffee maker, however, so we had instant coffee, no problem) and has a kettle, refrigerator, stove and microwave (no oven). It is within easy walking distance to St. Peter's square (even by American walking standards!) and we even went back to the apartment 2 of our days for lunch. There is a nice grocery store around the corner and several nice, but inexpensive restaurants very close by. As stated in the other reviews, the metro station is about 10 minutes walk beyond St. Peter's square but there are bus stops very close to the apartment if you prefer not to walk quite so far. We also made use of the parking garage recommended by Giorgio - it was close and safe. Giorgio's son, Federico, met us at the apartment the evening we arrived and was very helpful to us. We also appreciated all of the sight-seeing information that was provided - it helped us a great deal. We really enjoyed seeing the real Rome that this apartment offers - a bit away from all the tourist traffic. We would definitely stay at this apartment again!
Owner's Response: We' re so happy to read again nice words to the confortability of the apartment and its quitness. We know that it is suitable for families and couples because we have had many evidencies during the last 5 years.
Usually, my wife and myself meet our guests, but we were not in Rome at that moment and we asked our son to do it for us. By reading that he has been helpful and cooperative gave us the certainty that our good and nice tradition of hosting foreign tourists has been well posted.
