Excellent!

My wife and I stayed here in early October, 2007. The owner arranged for a private car to pick us up at the airport, and even though our flight was delayed by over an hour, the driver was there and waiting for us. The drive into the city from Leonardo da Vinci was enjoyable and took about 30 minutes.
The apartment is exactly as described. Everything was clean when we arrived, the kitchen was tidy, the beds were made, all just as we would have expected. The shower works fine and towels were provided.
A nice breeze blows into the rooms when the windows are open, and even if the day is too warm, there are air conditioners in both bedrooms that work just fine.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals, which we did a couple of times. Pots, pans, silverware, plates, glasses, knives, cutting boards, utensils such as colanders and graters, were all provided. There was even a bottle of olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar in the cabinet. The fridge works so you can put perishable items in it.
The only common amenities that the apartment lacked was a telephone line and television programming. I'm not sure if it's a common thing in Rome for apartments to lack telephones, but we could have used one. We didn't have much time for TV, but a BBC channel or some other English news would have been nice. A DVD player is provided for the small TV, but we were there to see Rome and didn't use it.
The neighborhood is fairly quiet (although a bit noisy until after 22:00, if I remember) and very safe. We walked around Rome after dark and never felt unsafe in any way. There is a supermarket about 100 yards down Via Dei Gracchi from which one may buy meats, bread, vegetables, pasta, wine, or anything else, for a very reasonable price (especially compared to the cost of a restaurant!)
There are several restaurants nearby, including pizzerias and a high end ristorante just across the street. Within 2 minutes' walk is Via Ottaviano, which is a fairly large thoroughfare. The Ottaviano subway station is about 3 minutes from the apartment. Across the street is the Penny Lane Pub, which I highly recommend for an evening nightcap. The bartenders there are great!
Overall, the experience was great. The owner is responsive to email correspondence and speaks fluent English. There was nothing missing that he said would be there, and many things were provided that we hadn't even thought to ask about. The neighborhood is in a great location - a 5 minute walk to the Vatican and 3 minutes to a subway station where you can catch a ride to anywhere in Rome.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering a stay in Rome.
