Rome holiday apartment

We had spent our first week in Italy in Venice and Florence before arriving in Rome. We were thrilled with the apartment. Not only were the bedrooms set up as requested (we had two grown children with us), but the terrace was fabulous and the living space was comfortable. The owner even provided us with an internet connection we had not even expected!

The apartment was perfectly and matched the description and pictures. It was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The owner met us on arrival and was so helpful.

It was wonderful to come back after a day of sightseeing to the air conditioned apartment with the beautiful terrace. By having the kitchen, we were able to prepare breakfast prior to going out sightseeing. We were also able to go to the supermarket and make dinner a couple of nights.

The apartment was so close to the metro that we used it as our primary source of transportation. It was so convenient to go to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Coloseum, and much more. It was very quiet at night.

The owner was wonderful. We had to call when the hair dryer died, but he took care of the problem right away. My son used up all the megabytes on the internet connection (we are so used to there being time limits rather than megabyte limits) but Signor Fausto was kind enough to add a little more to the connection. Additionally, he arranged for our transportation back to the airport when we left and was kind enough to pay for the taxi.

Because of the layout of the rooms, this would be a great place to stay for 2 couples also.

We will definitely be staying here again if we have the opportunity! Thank you so much Signor Fausto. Your apartment was perfect and you are a gem!

This was the perfect place for our family for our week's vacation in Rome. The terrace is exactly what we had hoped for and provided a wonderful place to have breakfast and start our day in the morning as well as a perfect ending to our days in the evening where we could relax and even have our meal there. The location, facilities, and layout were exactly as described.

The owner Fausto arranged taxi's to meet us and then met us upon our arrival to the apartment and gave us very helpful information. Since we were arriving late, he also had some food which was so nice. The apartment is well maintained, very clean and very Italian. Our stay here was all we had hoped for and more. I would highly recommend.

There are many shops and restaurants within a couple blocks as well as access to the train.

The owner of this property is very special and checked with us several times to see if we needed anything and make sure all was well. He made our stay exceptional and memorable.

I was exhausted from work. My husband is recovering from a serious illness. We were tired!! We travelled to Rome (May 2009) with our long time friends, also Canadians, who live in Paris. (We are from Vancouver, BC). We wanted a nice secure locale, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a terrace….

My husband corresponded with Fausto on several occasions. Meeting him was a pleasure – a warm, pleasant man with a generous heart. He met us at the Metro station, took us to the flat, gave us an Internet key, a cell phone and a wonderful bottle of wine. He phoned later the first night to ensure everything was okay, and called again the next night.

Imagine waking up to sunshine and having morning coffee on the terrace, listening to Pavarotti on your iPod… with a lemon tree beside you…as you look at the wonderful view. And the flowers! Ahhhh…..

When the time came to do some laundry, the machine worked beautifully, and the clothes dried quickly on the terrace line, wrinkles blown away by the gentle breeze.

We made all our dinners in this flat – a decent 4-burner gas stove (we did not use the oven, so I cannot comment on it), a good size refrigerator, etc. There is a pretty good grocery store within walking distance and a very good one at Termini station (then you can just hop on the train and go home). The excellent food and wine prices blew us away.

There’s a deep freeze out on the terrace that took good care of the vodka in the day (and we took good care of it in the evenings on the terrace, reminiscing, talking , renewing our long friendship). There is a lovely dining table for dinner, and an excellent flat screen television so our friend could watch her beloved tennis championships.

We are committed recyclers, and there is a recycling depot at close hand.

We were very pleased with the large, quiet flat. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine. We always felt safe, and we felt privileged to be in a private apartment building. We did not see many other people but those we did see were unfailingly friendly to us. Fausto made it clear we could call him any time.

We were a little taken aback at the traffic, and taking the Metro at rush hour in the morning is an experience to be endured once only! But generally, we found Metro and buses just fine to get us to where we wanted to go.

Fausto is a treasure. He got us safely to the airport on our last day, and we left with wonderful memories of an amazing city. Thanks, Fausto!
