Far from the madding crowd

Cassia House has a simple small family feel about it. It is in a quiet location about half an hour on the train from St Peters. The apartment was neat and clean and is in a complex with good security including a camera on the gate, and a concierge during the day time. The complex is kept very tidy and the palm trees add a tropical environment to the communal garden.
After a busy day at the office it has been a restful place to relax in with minimal sounds from the neighbours. The apartment has all the basic needs for cooking and washing, and the owner is a mine of valuable information on Rome, what's going on and how to get there and where to buy tickets. Important to remember that the last train from Rome to La Giustiniana is at 10.30 pm.
The views from this third floor apartment across to the hills beyond are very pleasant, and with the windows open you can hear the birds sing, the very distant sound of the train, but no road traffic. The nearby supermarket is 10 minutes walk away and has a reasonable selection of most common foods and a friendly staff. There is a pharmacy and a range of shops for clothing, newsagents etc in the village of Giustiniana. Nearby there are lovely walks down narrow tracks which are a nice alternative to the streets of Rome.
I took the property on a long let because it provided all my basic needs including internet access. Cassia House is simple but comfortable, and unlike many Italian apartments has the benefit of a bath and a shower. Since the complex is at the top of a small hill, walking down to the shops is easier than walking back, but this is very good exercise if you normally collect shopping by car. .
Whether for a short holiday break or a long let, Cassia House is to be recommended. Plenty of space for a single person to spread themselves around, or good for a family of four who get on well together.
