Trevignano Romano is situated on Lake Bracciano 45 kms north-west of Rome and the coast. It is in the heart of the 'Tuscia Romana'and the whole area is one of great artistic and cultural interest.There are many walks to be had in the surrounding countryside of gentle hills and woods.Apart from Rome there are many villages and towns for visitors to explore.In summer a boat goes round the lake stopping at each of the three towns on it.

Additional attractions: Rome can easily be reached either by coach from the centre of the village, or by the train, which goes right into the centre of the city , and there is a frequent service. There is also a very good dual carriageway. Other places of interest include Viterbo (45 kms), once a papal city, Cerveteri, (30 kms) with its Etruscan tombs, and Tarquinia (61 kms). The coast with its many sandy beaches is 45 kms away.

My Families Stay At This Lovely Villa

Having decided that this year Italy was the place for us to visit, we opted to stay in the well located and gloriously beautiful Trevignano Romano on the banks of Lake Bracciano. The villa is magnificent and full of character and charm as are the hosts Sylvia, Raphael and their dog Benji. Our two week stay was marvellous and any problems that we had in getting around , local services and general education on the surrounding area were quickly diffused by our kind hosts. We had three generations of family in our party and this place was ideal. The centre of the town is just at the bottom of the hill from the villa and Bracciano & Anguillara are both within close proximity around the lake. Rome is easily accessed by a nearby train service and motorways to all over Italy are also within easy reach.We would certainly go back to this beautiful place and would wholeheartedly reccommend that anyone out there looking for a piece of real Italy to give this villa a go. Sylvia & Raphael will take good care of you. We are missing them already.

Great setting & owners could not be more helpful

Staying here was bliss, the villa was so relaing and daily visits from Bengi ( the dog) was more than welcoming.We were made to feel more than welcome and would recomend it 100%.We took train into Rome which onlly took 40 mins and was great and no problem. The views of the Lake are breathtaking and sitting eating overlooking the Lake made it special.
Buying local wine from supermarket was cheap and good .
We would return to the villa now given the chance and recomend it highly.

Excellent holiday property!!

We are a family of five persons, and the spacious property was excellent for our purposes: Being near to wonderfull nature experiences; less than ten minutes walk from the lovely lake; where the children very much enjoyed bathing; in satisfactory reach of Rome (15 min by car to train and 30 minutes by train to central Rome); close to cosy small villages, good shopping possibilities in Trevignano for self-catering etc., etc.
Sylvia and Raphael, the hosts, are extremely pleasent and helpfull people!!!, and their small charming dog, Benji, took the whole family with storm!! :-)
We can definitely recommend this property for a vacation, and maybe we will ourselves come back some day?!?

We really enjoyed our stay - Sylvia and Raphael were excellent hosts, and the accommodation was exactly as described. The apartment is really spacious, which was ideal for us as we had two young babies with us. You do need a car however - the hill up to the property from the village is very steep. The village itself is great, love the lake and the food is fantastic.

A lovely holiday villa

Having just returned from this wonderful villa we loved every aspect of it and had a great holiday in the Trevignano area. The villa is very spacious, well maintained, and has all the comforts of home. We especially loved the beautiful garden right outside our door and we sat in the morning sun everyday having tea and being entertained by the lovable family dog, Benji.

Raphael and Sylvia were the perfect hosts and provided great advice about the area. Great day trips are within an easy drive with the towns of Bracciano, Sutri, Viterbo, Civita, Caprarola, and Tarquinia close by. Trevignano itself is a lovely town and the lake is a ten minute walk from the villa. The town is very picturesque and has many shops, restaurants, gelato shops and two supermarkets for all your needs. The countryside around Trevignano is beautiful and very quiet, although Rome is only an hour away.

We have stayed in many villas/apartments all thru Europe and have to rank Raphael and Sylvias amongst the best we have experienced. We will definitely return.
