Less than 30 minutes from the centre of Rome, along the ancient Via Salaria, the 'Fonte di Papa” country guest house is located inside the Marcigliana Nature Reserve. Its origins start at the end of the 1800's and is part of an old property, where main agricultural activities were wine production in the “Fonte di Papa” cellars and horse breeding. Today, this country guest house is one of the few agricultural properties left in Rome that still maintains its original and natural predisposition for raising horses and experiencing farming life. The property consists of 10 hectares of flat land and 2 old farmhouses.

The 'Fonte di Papa' guesthouse's objective is to keep and retain the value of the natural and agricultural surroundings, environment and history of the place, offering different activities such as the hospitality of travellers, horseback riding, horse therapy for people with handicaps, recreational, cultural and sporting activities. For people who want to spent nice and relaxing holidays in Rome, the 'Fonte di Papa' guest house is the ideal place. You can horseback ride in the 10 hectares of the property and in the paddocks of the riding school inside the property, ride mountain-bikes, play tennis as well as table tennis, and basketball, and relax in the swimming pool. Together with these more traditional activities, there are also activities for people with handicaps like horse therapy, always under the supervision of people specialised in these fields.

LUNCH & DINNER: For lunch (only on Saturday and Sunday) or for dinner (all days except for Monday), our clients, if desired, can go to a small restaurant ('trattoria') next to us where average price is around 20 € (reservation needed), or prepare the meal on their own in the apartment.

SERVICES & EXTRAS: SERVICES: Swimming pool (10x6m wide and 1,20m deep), from June to September (free of charge); Basket, Tennis and Swimming pool can have time restrictions in case of events at the Tenuta in some days. Tennis-table (free of charge); Horse riding (payment on site). Prices include: utilities (except for air conditioning where provided), bed and bathroom sheets and towels (weekly change), 'welcome breakfast' within the apartment/room. Cradles available upon request and on availability. EXTRAS: Additional bed: 20 €/day Sheets: changed weekly; if additional sheets are required, the cost is 6 Euros per person. Horse riding: 20€ per 45 minutes lesson per person. Chimney usage: 25€.
