great stay near Rome

We stayed with four and had a great stay! It's a great house with a big garden where you can relax from a busy and hectic day in Rome. Liz kindness and tips really gave something extra to our vacation. She made us feel very welcome. Liz's kindness and hospitality is amazing and we really want to thank her for that. The house is really clean and is fully equipped. Bathroom and kitchen are good and the twin bed is great. Prepare yourself for some debating who sleeps on the sleeping coach (sleeps two), since it's slightly less comfortable than the bed, but it's still fine.
Here are some tips:
When you're planning to come without a car, we recommend to have some kind of own transportation to the train station. The bus stop is a 1 min walk, but the buses don't really get on time or don't come at all (they should come twice an hour). And it's really annoying to miss the train, cause it only departs once an hour. (in case when you consider walking: it takes 45 min). The train/bus costs are really cheap: 1euro one way (bus+train together). Everywhere you want to go (Lago di Albano/Tivoli etc.), you have to travel through Termini station. (so it takes up some time). We travelled with public transportation for one week, and it was quite ok.
The local supermarket is great for bread, dry products such as rice/pasta and for oil/butter. We recommend to buy fruits and vegetables elsewhere (small assortment and expensive).
That all said, we really recommend this place for a great vacation!
Greetings Gina, Floor, Anne and Marina
Owner's Response: Regarding the buses, I do say to my guests that if a bus doesn't turn up and I am around, I am quite happy to give you a lift to the station and I certainly give all my guests a lift when they have to take an especially early train, if perhaps they decide to go to Pompei for the day for example, or if they have a suitcase.
