Notes: This house is perfect for holidays for families. The pizza oven is great fun to use but you may need a bit of coaching from Kalle. If you have a special occasion to celebrate and would like a party at the house Kalle can organise this for you. Kalle provides local food and wine, the meat is usually cooked on an open fire in the garden and for large parties it is possible to order a spit roast of pork or lamb which is cooked on site and is also accompanied by local dishes and wines. If you are interested do contact Kalle in plenty of time and he will be happy to discuss your likes and dislikes to ensure your party is a success.

Fabulous Italy

Review Submitted: September 18, 2011 Date of Stay: September 2011
We stayed at the Yellow House in Sept following a 3 day sight-seeing trip to Rome. We loved the house ~ it's in a great location with beautiful views. We were a family party of 8 adults and found the house spacious, good sized rooms, great for a social relaxing time. Good sized kitchen with big dining table ~ excellent for games after dinner!Weather was hot and sunny, so made good use of the pool, lazy days spent reading!Pausing for lunches under the tree, overlooking the valley. Enjoyed the local restaurant at the top of the track. We found the nearby H supermarket met all our needs~helpful staff. There is plenty to see locally, visiting the local towns Orvieto, Bolsena lake & Bagnoregio. We would certainly come again & have recommended to friends & family!

It couldn't have been more perfect

Review Submitted: September 26, 2011 Date of Stay: July 2011
Dear Emma, I'm pleased to say we had an absolutely fantastic time at
the Yellow House: it couldn't have been more perfect. What we
appreciated most was the care taken to make the place as comfortable as
possible. The meal Assunta and Cristina cooked was fabulous. In fact
we only ate out twice, the other times spent eating in the garden.
Visits to Orvieto, the Dead City, Lake Bolsena were very
enjoyable. We were wondering if next year we could book for ten days -
a week too short, a fortnight too long? We'd like the last week in
July and the first few days of August. All-in-all, the price for the
stay we thought great value for such an outstanding villa and pool.
Please feel free to use these comments on your website. Many thanks
from us all!

Wonderful house

Review Submitted: September 26, 2011 Date of Stay: July 2011
I would like to tell you how much we all enjoyed our stay at your wonderful house.
We were all sorry to have to leave so soon.
The children too had great fun, of course with the swimming pool, but also with the table football, table tennis and the little river.
They too want to come back.
So thank you for the way we were welcomed, helped where necessary and your friendliness.

40th wedding anniversary holiday

Review Submitted: September 26, 2011 Date of Stay: June 2011
Yes, we really enjoyed ourselves. The whole trip was a success. Before coming to the Yellow House we spent a night in Orvieto and then a weekend in Santa Marinella ( near Civitavecchia ) before flying home.
The purpose of our trip was to celebrate our 40th anniversary on June 25th with the whole family ( our two daughters and their families ). Special thanks to Cristina for arranging a lovely dinner for us on Saturday night.
All in all the house was beyond our expectations. We had a floor for each of the families, although our two years old grandson slept with us on the groud floor, because we three were the early birds in the mornings and therefore fetched fresh bread from the village before others woke up.
We spent a lot of time by the pool. All children, Elsa (9), Emma (7) and Lassi (2) are keen swimmers and thus "forced" parents and grandparents to join them, because obviously they could not be left alone. A couple of parasols would have been useful, because the trees gave no shadow before afternoon...
We made trips to towns in the neighbourhood, like Orvieto, Bolsena, Viterbo and Bagnoregio, but the most interesting place and very much worth seeing was Civita di Bagnoregio, "the dying town". It was really an amazing place to see.

Emma, thank you very much for letting us spend a week in your wonderful house. Our daughters already started to have a look at their calendars...

Fantastic holiday

Review Submitted: September 26, 2011 Date of Stay: June 2011
Just to say we had a fantastic time at the Yellow House in June. It was a great place for a family holiday and our relatives and friends from the USA absolutely loved it! The house is in a stunning location and very convenient for the village. The restaurants were good and we had a fantastic time at the Porcupine. The host was delightful and very helpful. We also enjoyed our meal at the Oak Tree. Our only comment about improvements for the house would be that a coffee machine would be useful and some parasols around the pool.

We would dearly love to come back one day with some of our other friends. Wea are thinking of coming in June 2013, when do you think we would need to book it?
