Local area
Regional Park of Veio: Thanks to its 15.000 ha. area it constitutes one of the most important “green wedges” penetrating the borders of the city of Rome. Within the protected area there are various inhabited centres principally agricultural and rural, that with their gastronomic and village traditions make this an ideal place to spend a holiday, just a few kilometres away from the capital. Enjoy a warm welcome and good cooking. Castel Romano and Valmontone Fashion Outlets with their 100 stores propose the creations of the most renowned designers with prices reduced by 30-70% all year round (about 50 min. driving distance), several important Shopping Centers like 'Porta di Roma' (the biggest in Italy with 220 shops) and 'Roma Est' are 20/50 mins far, swimming pool with aqua fun at (40/50 min. driving distance), riding school nearby, Country fair, Markets and Flea Markets every Sunday in different Villages nearby (10/50 min. driving distance), fishing small sport lake located nearby.

The Village is 200 m above sea level, in a cooler area than the roman plain, where several local Trattorias and Pizzerias serve good home-cooked locally-grown produce at reasonable prices. Delightful location in rural Lazio, off the usual tourist track but a good centre for excursions to some of the most beautiful art cities in Italy. Well situated, just 2 km from Sacrofano's medieval historical centre, 12 km from Rome’s ring road and 10 mins by bus from a metropolitan train station with frequent connections to the centre of Rome (20-min journey). Do yourselves a real favour and visit one of the greatest cities in the world, Roma. Be warned though, Roma demands a lot of energy so escape easily to the countryside and relax in Villa Stelaria. We loved it!

Have just returned from a week vacation at Villa Stelaria, we wish to thank Giulian for providing the most beautiful and well maintained holiday base. Ideal for families & groups of friends alike. A peaceful retreat after a hard days sightseeing in Rome. We will certainly be wishing to come back in the future, and will be telling friends ... Thanks once again.
