Casa Liana Trevignano Romano. Beautiful house - villa on Lake Bracciano!

Owner's Response: As owners of Casa Liana, proud of the fact that we have never had complaints re the above, we wish to clarify:

Casa Liana (coordinates: 42.150384,12.277205) has never been advertised as being directly on the lake nor providing direct lakeside access. Photos on the home website show the exact view from our home and its distance from the lake. There are lake views from three sides of the home, contrary to what was written by our guests from Belfast.

Access to the entire lake shoreline is open to everyone by law. Unfortunately, our recent guests did not find the nearest lake access, as it is down the roads directly in front of the complex, on Via Arno or Via Po, less than 1km from door to water. In any case, we always ask that our guests have transportation, so they can enjoy the entire lake sights, shoreline, and beaches, which vary from small and secluded to well equipped.

Since 2003, literally not one of our guests have ever complained of the home temperature. The split AC unit (heat and cooling) has been installed for the entire home, as the home is open throughout and air flows freely. This review is being written inside the home on August 31st, without the AC having been used at all today. The upstairs temperature is 23 degrees C while the downstairs temperature is 21 degrees C.

During the night, the temperature in the lower level, which has a 1.5-meter insulating wall around on three sides (intercapedine), goes down significantly and can be chilly, for which we also have a traditional heating system. Our guests from Belfast took the extra blanket downstairs; we wonder why they would need additional blankets downstairs if the rooms were too hot.

As most travelers know, it is standard procedure in European countries to provide ID documents to the local authorities. Usually, Luca makes copies for our guests, but since he welcomed our Belfast guests personally in the airport and allowed a very late arrival at home --almost 10pm-- he asked them to kindly make passport copies the following morning as copy shops were closed. In any case, Luca will ensure that all guests know that passports photocopies are needed.

We hope this clarifies. We are regretful that our guests from Belfast weren't thrilled with Casa Liana as our many repeat guests are, and hopefully this clarification will ensure that future guests are well-informed and ready to enjoy their stay with us to the fullest!
