The house, perched on the city wall of Sutri, a small village of Etruscan origin just north of Rome,is recommended to visit Rome, Viterbo, the district lakes (Bolsena, Bracciano & Vico) with its beautiful beaches & Etruscan sites. Sutri also offers two golf courses of 18 holes: Olgiata (20 min) and Le Querce /Sutri (10 min). The house, on 2 levels, went through many stages of development with different parts being added on and divided off over time. The result is a charming house with a combination of ancient and original wood-roofs with more traditional furnishing.

Sutri was founded by the Etruscan over 2000 years ago and still have a number of archaeological remains from this period and the Roman, Lombard and medieval eras. Today, Sutri's centro storico (medieval centre) is an attractive, interesting place to explore and will give a taste of local Italian life without the tourists.

We stayed at the house in the summer 2006 and at Xmas 2007.
We have decided to return to your lovely house again in March for Easter spending time to visit again Rome and the nice places around Sutri.

Great location but beware ! When we stayed in november 07 no evidence of any internet connection even though the owner is advertising wireless broadband. 8 weeks later still being advertised as having internet. Would advise you confirm with owner if internet is important to your holiday as it was to us.
Owner's Response: We confirm that the house has a internet wireless system and thefore we totally reject such guest complaints..
Maybe he was not able to use it or the system was temporarely out of work for technical problem.
Anyway it was possible to use internet plugging a cable to phone line.
