Rustic Villa on a Etruscan foundation beauty, peace only 25km from Rome
Casale Monte Guarnieri, is a traditional 19th Century farm house built on ancient late Etruscan Roman foundations and recently restored into a family home. Originally it was the residence of Count Guarnieri and the centre of a large farming establishment complete with outbuildings. In the remote past it lay within the outskirts of the ancient Etruscan city of Vejo. The Casale offers comfortable accommodation within peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The Casale is self-contained and set in an idyllic one acre garden with mature umbrella pine trees and an orchard. Located in Cesano di Roma, only 25km north of the centre of Rome and well connected to the city. The Casale is an ideal base for exploring the historical richness of the “eternal city” and its hinterland, while also offering a peaceful retreat from Rome’s incessant hassle and bustle and intense summer heat. The one-acre garden shaded with matured umbrella pine trees and pleasingly landscaped with Mediterranean plants.

| Notes: | The family offers affordable B&B accommodation within a warm friendly and comfortable environment in two adjacent double bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Ideal for a family or for two couples travelling together (but in case of booking 1 room we leave the other free). The 2 rooms available have a vernacular character with rustic timber beans and dormer-type windows, they are nicely furnished. The bigger room with kingsize bed (on request extra bed is available), has a television, armchairs for reading. It also has a small balcony that gives a spectacular view to the garden and the countryside beyond. The adjacent smaller room, also with double bed has a more cozy character. Both rooms share a small lobby with bookshelves, dressing table, frigobar. The lobby gives access to the bathroom complete with bath tub and separate shower. On sunny days continental breakfast will be served “al fresco” on the ample terrace under the grape arbour. The use of the kitchen for evening meals can be arranged. |

It has a ground floor with various reception rooms and a kitchen. A first floor with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. A second floor in a characteristic tower with the master bedroom and a bathroom. The one-acre garden shaded with matured umbrella pine trees and pleasingly landscaped with a variety of Mediterranean plants, flowers and bushes will be available for play (also equipped for children), resting, sunbathing etc. all year round because of the mild Mediterranean weather. The fruit orchard with apple, apricot, plum, fejoas, pear, kaki and fig trees provides fresh fruits for the table and for the preparations of our famous jams.
