That's Atrani is a delightful apartment only 4 minutes walk from Amalfi and offers an astonishing view of Atrani's seafront. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet and close to the beach and all the amenities. At the rear of the palazzo both the characteristic Piazza Umberto I and the 940 ad church of Salvatore de Birecto charm the tourist. That's Atrani is located at the heart of a bustling and lively village community in a renovated 18th century building protected by UNESCO. The apartment is 50 m2 and consists of two bedrooms (sea view 'Margherita' bedroom and 'Ciccio' bedroom), a well-equipped kitchen, a sea view dining room and a small bathroom including washbasin, WC, bidet, bath and shower. The apartment is finished in the Mediterranean style.

Atrani is a medieval village close to Amalfi which is a 4 minutes stroll along the corniche overlooking the sea. In times gone by Atrani was the residence of the aristocratic families of Amalfi and home of the Republic of Amalfi's nobility. The secret of this little town lies in its characteristic Piazza Umberto I, rendez-vous for people of different cultures that have chosen the Amalfi Coast for a relaxing and pleasant holiday. The stone-paved paths between Atrani's houses ascend from the Piazza towards Monte Aureo and Monte Civita where the village was built and carve themselves a niche among the two rocky hills, the Dragone river and its quiet beach; much to be preferred to that of overcrowded Amalfi. Atrani is located in the heart of Amalfi Coast: 4 minutes walk from Amalfi, 20 minutes by bus from Ravello, 40 minutes from Positano, one hour and half from Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum and 2 hours from Naples.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment performed with cheque or credit card is not accepted.
    A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Bookings made within 61 days of the arrival date at the rental property will require a full prepayment at the time of booking. The booking can only be confirmed when the receipt of the deposit (or of the full pre-payment), the Contract and the Booking Form are received.
    The 70% of the letting price (final payment) is due 60 days prior arrival. If final payment is not received within 55 days before the scheduled arrival, the owner of the property reserves the right to cancel the reservation with penalties.
    Cancellation penalties apply as follows: booking request date to 62 days prior arrival date: 30% of letting price; 61 days to 30 days prior arrival date: 80% of letting price; 29 days prior arrival date to arrival date: 100% of letting price.
  • When the client arrives and takes possession of the keys of the property, the client will be required to pay the security deposit (euro 300 in cash) at that time.
    The security deposit is intended to cover any damages and breakages over and above day-to-day usage. It will be refunded entirely at departure time (less amounts for any additional costs not included in the letting price and any deduction made for any damage caused to the property) on the condition that the property and its contents do not display any immediate signs of having been damaged.
    The property will be handed over clean and tidy and in good working order. The letting price includes final cleaning. The letting price does not include the cleaning of the kitchen facilities (dirty dishes, etc.) and the removal of rubbish which are client's responsibility. If extra cleaning required this can be provided at an additional cost of 30 euro per person per week.

A delightful apartment in a wonderful area !

The apartment was perfect for our party of 3 (my wife and I plus 16 year old son). It was beautifully prepared and very well equipped. The owners' parents were delightful and very friendly - I do so wish I could speak Italian as I would have had so many questions to ask them about the area.

Amalfi really is only 10 minutes away on foot - and is a wonderful town as any guide book will tell you. Atrani is also delightful. We were feeling energetic and walked (hundreds of steps !) up to Ravello. Do bear in mind that you can't walk very far without going up and down hills and/or steps.

We were there in mid April and had some fairly hot days - I'm sure Amalfi is far busier in the height of summer.

If you rent a car DO be aware of the very windy coastal road which you have to take for 20-30 minutes to arrive at Atrani. It can be quite nerve wracking !

Despite comments about the coastal road, both Pompeii and Herculaneum are within easy reach.

All in all, highly recommended !

We're a late 20's couple and found it a perfect place to get away from it all on The Amalfi Coast without having to pay the double and more prices of the livelier Amalfi town, only a 5 minute walk round the coastal road.

The appartment is situated right on the sea front with beautiful views accross the Med (there is a pretty square in between the sea and the appartment but thats all). Its quite basic but also quite large and more than adequately does the job (the area is so nice and the coastline so great there's not much need for it other than sleeping).

The owners parents are extremely friendly and really polite and unintrusive (they live the next door along) and couldnt have been more helpful although our complete lack of any Italian meant that we couldnt really communicate other than gestures!

Atrani itself is a lovely little village hugging the sea just round the coastal road bend from the much larger and livelier Amalfi. This is a blessing though as im not really sure i'd want to have stayed in the comparative hustle and noise of late night Amalfi, plus the 5 minute breathtakingly beautiful walk every night from Atrani to Amalfi was a highlight every time - and helped walk off the amazing food on offer everywhere! Seeing the hills lit in the mediterranean night after eating such great food is going to be missed!

A more turquiose sea would be hard to find. Weather when we went was late 20's every day and hot.

Terrific apartment in a beautiful place!

We've just returned from our stay in Atrani and we did not want to leave! It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings and the people. We ate extremely well, played at the beach and went to beautiful nearby villages along the breathtaking coastline. We would absolutely return - already planning for next year... Especially with the warm welcome we received from Teresa and Tonino!

Stunning Atrani

A group of four of us ranging in age from early 20s to early 30s stayed in the stunning Atrani property for a week in May and had a fantastic time. Enza, the owner, was very helpful and friendly, and the apartment was the perfect size for our group. Located a short walk from Amalfi, it was far enough away not to be in the tourist trap, but close enough to all forms of public transport.
I can't recommend the apartment more. Walk downstairs to a selection of affordable restaurants and shops, or up a few steps to the bus stop. The Amalfi Coast is so picturesque -- we felt like we were on the set of The Talented Mr Ripley. Though many of the other tourists were a lot older than us we still found lots to do. Ferries to Capri, Sorrento, Salerno and more can be caught from Amalfi. We also went on lots of walking expeditions to close by towns. My only tip is to take comfortable walking shoes -- there are more steps than you can imagine!
All four of us were thoroughly impressed. Enza was lovely and even let us use the washing machine to wash our clothes. Five stars.

Fine summer holiday in Atrani!

We had a rest in Atrani a family with two children. Very much it was pleasant to all of us: an excellent arrangement of apartments, fine landscapes, the pure tender sea, a tasty Italian cuisine and surprisingly hospitable owners. We have taken away with ourselves bright unforgettable impressions.
