The apartments are part of a private villa in Santa Maria di Castellabate, about one km from the seaside, with a panoramic view of the surrounding area and bordered by the Italian National Park Cilento. The apartments are newly built (opening year 2005), tastefully furnished and have a large and private terrace/garden overlooking the sea, complete with umbrella, table, and lounge chairs. The apartments include a satellite TV, shared laundry room and are located in a private villa with automatic gate and parking. You can also enjoy free Internet access (for computers with wireless capabilities) and a large common swimming pool (16*7 meters, some 100 steps from the villa) open from May 20th to September 30th. Let me add just one last thing: we live in a villa next to the apartments so any problem you may experience, you will be just a few paces to its solution! Thanks for considering us.

It has a splendid view of the sea which cover 180 degree, from Punta Licosa to Punta Tresino, the two capes that enclose the bay of Castellabate. From the terrace you will enjoy beautiful sunset looking at the shape of Capri in the distance.

Notes to the rental rates

• The apartment is rented on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday - we have some flexibility with change-over day during low season, please ask). The rent includes water, electricity, and gas. There is a charge of 40 Euro for cleaning the apartment after checkout. You may request sheets and towels, with weekly change, at a cost of 9 Euro per person per week.

The Cilento National Park

The Cilento National Park has been recognised by the UNESCO since 1998 as part of the World Heritage with the following justification: “The Cilento is an outstanding cultural landscape. The dramatic groups of sanctuaries and settlements along its three east–west mountain ridges vividly portray the area's historical evolution: it was a major route not only for trade, but also for cultural and political interaction during the prehistoric and medieval periods. The Cilento was also the boundary between the Greek colonies of Magna Graecia and the indigenous Etruscan and Lucanian peoples. The remains of two major cities from classical times, Paestum and Velia, are found there (…) as well as the impressive monastic property of the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula”.
