Property:
The strategic position of the property is ideal for a holiday to recharge your mind and your soul. Suited within one of the most impressive scenario of the Mediterranean Sea, you have the opportunity to choose between the fashionable life of Taormina (10min from Giardini Naxos) and the relaxing shores of Giardini Naxos. The beach of Recanati ,only 50 meters away (55 yards), offers its crystal clear waters together with many outdoor and sea related experiences such as paragliding, aqua scooter, sailing, windsurf, kitesurf, water-skiing, boat-excursions with typical fishing-boats and a lot more to do for the kids too. Very close to the property you’ll find several markets, restaurants (serving typical Sicilian dishes with fresh fish), pizzerias, wine bars, shops and boutiques.
Transports:
Using the car is not necessary, making your holiday more and more relaxing. If you wish there are plenty of rental places where you can hire cars, bicycles and scooters. One hundred meters away from the property, a bus-station offers daily connections for most of the important Sicilian attractions (Catania, Mount Etna, Syracuse, Aeolian Archipelago, Taormina, Castelmola, Messina and Cefalù). We organise transfers from the airport to the property and back for an extra charge of 120 Euros (both ways).
Mount Etna:
An unforgettable experience for those who decide to visit the amazing eastern coast of Sicily will be the discover of Europe's largest volcano and one of the most active on Earth. Mount Etna lies near the Ionian coast of Sicily and occupies a surface area of around 1300 km2 with a perimeter exceeding 120 miles. It changes frequently according to eruptive activity or minor collapse events at the top craters: the average altitude is about 3300 meters (12540feet) a.s.l. Several roads starting from Giardini Naxos offer different opportunities for climbing up the volcano and visiting the fascinating rural villages and archaeological sites along the mountain slopes. Breathtaking views, Mediterranean vegetation, typical agricultural landscapes, sunny roads, moon-like deserts, good food and wine will be your trip mates. There are a lot of itineraries for those who love trekking and many skiing facilities for those who are not afraid of wind and cold.
Golf:
The Picciolo Golf Club is the first golf course constructed in Sicily. It was designed, in the 1989, by Luigi Rota Caremoli. The beautiful 18 holes are among oaks, hazels and vineyards. How to get there: From the motorway A-18 Catania-Messina take the Fiumefreddo di Sicilia exit; then follow the S.S. 120 direction: Piedimonte Etneo, Linguaglossa, Randazzo. After 800 mts from the turning for Castiglione di Sicilia, on the left there are 2 big pine trees.
