Nice attic (sea view terrace) in a tiny fisherman's village close to Palermo

What a find and what total relax. Aspra really is how it was described- relaxing, friendly and a joy to explore. Alex was really helpful and the flat was very clean and had all that we needed. Lovely to be able to eat out on the terrace all the time and just watch and listen to life!. We didnt have a car and just walked to the train station in Bagheria to travel to places. Monreale and Palermo were real favourites for us and Cefalu was Ok but far more touristy. Many thanks Alex and hope the wedding goes Ok. Remember we'd love to see you in England!

We chose Aspra as we wanted to avoid crowdy places and to live among sicilian people. We won't have been deceived, more we do love this place, this quarter and all the people accepting us very friendly. What a pleasure to go to the baker, the butcher, to buy local fruits and vegetables or cheeses and salami even if you don't speak italian and the sellers no word of french or english !
The appartment was better than described. It's very clean, well equiped, with taste and we really feel at home. No need to bring a hair-dryer or ironing stuff and the washing-machine works very well. During our stay, the weather was hot but the AC works very well. The terrasse is a must for romantic diner as there is a nice view on Palermo Gulf and beautiful sunset.
To be honnest, we are used to travel a lot around the world and to rent lodging 2 or 3 times a year and this appart will remain among the best ones for thre price and Alessandro has been more than perfect. You can count on him for help or advice and it's very pleasant. We can't imagine not coming back to Aspra one day and for sure in this charming appartment. Apart from famous places to visit as Palermo, Agrigento, Selunte... don't hesitate to swim on the little beach at Aspra (clean water) and pay a visit to the little fishing ports at the east of Aspra, you will love them !

This apartment is the ideal base for a stay in Sicily for those who want to avoid the busy resorts.
This is easily the cleanest apartment we have ever stayed in and there was nothing we lacked. Air conditioning is essential in Sicily and this was very good. Alessandro looked after us perfectly and was very informative about what to find locally and where is best to explore.
This is a third floor apartment so 60 stairs may be too much for the elderly.
Aspra provides an ideal base for driving to anywhere on the island. The main roads are within easy reach. A day trip out to Agrigento (1.5 - 2 hours each way) is well worth while and on your return you will have the sea to cool off in just a minute's walk from your front door. The beach here was never as crowded as others we visited and has handy bars and gelateria for refreshment. The sea is calm and very safe.
