POSITION OF THE VILLA .-- AREA DESCRIPTION :
-THE VILLA IS SITUATED in the northern part of Sicily, just on foot of the Parco delle Madonie, 10 kms far from CEFALU' (historical and international site ) , 4 kms far from the archeological site of Himera, 45 Kms from PALERMO the capital city, The POSITION of the villa is suitable to visit the most important touristic sites as it is 3 kms far from the Junction of the motorway ( A/19 Palermo – Catania ) & ( A/20 Palermo-Messina ). The PARCO DELLE MADONIE incorporates 15 towns and villages and many of these have Mediaeval origins thanks to the noble land-owning families that owned huge estates and built castles in the area. Today several castles and many wonderful churches bear witness to this history. The Madonie's gastronomic tradition is second to none, relying as it does on local produce for prime ingredients. The meat, sausages, salami, cheese, olives, mushrooms, and fresh seasonal vegetables are all excellent while some of Sicily's best wine is produced nearby.

'If you don't want to stay in a hotel as you have a family that like comfort and independence, it is the perfect place. It's the kind of location that's perfect for relaxing.' The Beach is in front of the house 'fantastic !!!!!! The chalet and the garden itself is a work of art, it's individuality increases the enjoyment of being away. Antonio & Maria are the perfect hosts, friendly and charming people that are genuinely lovely. They manage to look after everything for you, are full of local information but give you your privacy as well.... It is in a very good position to enjoy and visit SICILY that is full of art and culture . As the chalet is self catering we were more than happy to cook for ourselves - mostly with fish of local fishermen . The shops and restaurants are an easy 5 minute stroll away. We can't think of a nicer place to relax and de stress.

Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. We had a wonderful holiday, experiencing some true Sicilian culture. Many things we would not have seen or done had it not been for Pippo and Maria. They are lovely people, friendly, honest and caring. They truly wanted their guests to have a fantastic holiday. All the facilities described were available. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, only the sound of the sea washing up on the beach. IT HAS BEEN a truly memorable break, enjoyed by all - especially the children! We have had a great week in Sicily. We all loved the beach. We spent many hours in visiting sites. This house served as an excellent base - there is so much to do!! A wonderful location & perfect accommodation - we couldn't have asked for more.
