Castiglione di Sicilia is a picturesque hilltop town on the northern slopes of Etna and offers visitors one of the most varied landscapes in the province of Catania. It is half way between the mountain and the sea and has become a tourist destination for those looking for a relaxing nature holiday. The property consists of three bedrooms (1 Double,1 Single and 1 Twin)The house sleeps upto 5 people, sheets, blankets and pillows and towels (for use in the house only ) are provided .There is also a bathroom, living-room and kitchen which has a washing machine. On guests arrival a welcome snack and a bottle of wine is provided Outside is a lovely swimming pool for those hot summer days. The Greek theatre at Taormina, Giardini naxos, golf course and Mount Etna are all in easy reach by car. Spend your days exploring this beautiful island and return to the house and relax by the pool. The whole Sicily experience leaves those that visit breathless and enthused to plan their return.

This house was perfect for a relaxing away from it all holiday. We were concerned that it was going to be a bit cramped for us, but the pictures really don't do it justice. It is a good size, light, airy and extremely comfortable. The owners were on site but never intrusive and always eager to ensure that our holiday was perfect, which it was. The pool is situated a little way from the house, but the situation was great. Huge trees to shade in and a lovely area surrounding the pool that got all day sun. Everything was spotless. The linen provided was crisp and fresh and while the kitchen was a little on the small side, it was adequate for preparing a meal. There were some restaurants around, but we didn't try many. The bars in the towns surrounding the house were plentiful and all welcoming.
I am very picky when it comes to holiday houses, but this one was very clean, well presented and provided a great place to return to after visiting Etna, Taormina and the various beaches. Most importantly, it represented good value for money. I would certainly recommend it for a very relaxing and stress free break.

My family stayed for a week at the end of May, and it was just what we wanted - a rural retreat, with a nice selection of little towns and restraunts nearby. With the added WOW of having Mt.Enta just behind you!

Nando & Laura were perfect hosts, being there when we wanted to talk, but respecting our privacy too.

The grounds were an amazing, with a maze of paths through the woods & vineyards, leading back to the pool. The only caveat is that the pool is deep and so i would not recommend for under 8s.

Highly recommended family holiday if you want to get away from it all

A PIECE OF MAGIC

We loved it . A large beautiful villa with amazing views. Everything was spotless and provided for. Alhough it was 40 degrees when we were there, the mountain breeze flowed through the house and cooled it down.

Utterly peaceful, but not far from beaches, Etna, historic towns and sites,excellant resturants.

The villa has this amazing large spotless pool overlooking vineyards and hazelnut groves. While it is in full sun . There are 100 year old oaks eaither side so it was shaded and cool if you wanted. Our children had a great time here.

The gardens are immaculate,manicured lawns, jasmine, geranium scented .

You will be spoilt if you select this amazing place for your holiday. Do fly to Catania .We flew into Palermo it was too far and the hire car arrangements were not good. A small car is a good as some of the mountain towns have very narrow streets.

We have stayed in more than 20 different villas in europe over the years and this was one of the best. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Sue & Rob and family

Fabulous Holiday Villa!

Just spent 2 weeks here and had an absolutely fantastic time! Villa just gorgeous and well equipped for our family of 4, lovely private pool and gardens, mountain views stunning in every direction, lots to do and see locally and within easy reach of beaches and coastal towns. This is right off the tourist trail and the perfect way to see Sicily.
Nando and Laura are on site and are so helpful but very unobtrusive.We've all had the most fantastic holiday and will definitely return!!

Wonderful location, comfortable accomodation

Spent May half term at the property with two young daughters (aged 9 and 5). The villa is perfectly located, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and amazing views of Etna out of the bedroom windows. Set in shared gardens, the children were made welcome throughout the grounds where they were delighted to find kittens, ducklings and chickens ! The pool was left for us to enjoy alone and was clean and private. The villa itself is basically but comfortably furnished and we had everything
we needed for the week. Nando and Laura were kind but unintrusive - leaving us wine and supper for our first night and making the children feel very welcome.

Close enough to Etna, Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Syracusa for day trips, very near to some lovely little mountain villages and the stunning Alcatara Gorges.

We would happily recommend this property to anyone
