This air-cond Villa is situated on a dramatic red volcanic coastline of Lipari, and offers stunning views of the lying below sea and of the north coast of Sicily. Sq. meters 90, plus sq.mt 90covered patios, garden and swimming-pool. Built up in 2003 a pure aeolian style, it is calm & noiseless. Distance from the main town and port Km 3.5.A car is recommended. Close 50 meters from the villa there is a path to reach ValleMuria beach, 250 mt. below. Fully-equipped kitchen. An ideal place to sit, eat and relax, especially to watch sailing boats and luxurious yachts from the patio, and also the sunset that turns the volcanic stones from yellow in deep red! The sun is on the pool from morning until sunset.

Aeolian Islands are UNESCO PATRIMONIUM. Lipari is the main of the 7 Aeolian Islands, coming from volcanic origin. With his 8000 inhabitants, is the most equipped for service and sea-excursions. The old town is full of small pubs with live music, there are many restaurants, the hospital, and shops. Museum of ancient Greek mask. Typical are the pumice mines, and the sea all around is similar to Caribbean Sea, with white sand. There are 2 islands with active volcans: Volcano (15 minutes by hydrofoil) with his sulphuric gas, and STROMBOLI, with lava-eruption every 30 minutes. Is it possible to rise on the top of Stromboli with guides, to see the eruption from 200 mt!

    The owner declines any responsibility regarding delays,cancellations etc...of transportation(Trains-Planes-Ship-Bus) or adverse weather conditions not permitting departures or arrivals of the boat/hydrofoil to and from Milazzo, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Messina port.
  • During October and sometimes November, temperature and weather is still sunny and warm, so that it's possible not only to swim, but also to enjoy low prices of restaurants ,rent-a-car and shops. No crowds at hydrofoils to visit next islands. No traffic. Good smell of orange fruits. Lipari remains with its only 4500 inhabitants.My housekeeper will wait for guests at the port,take them at home and show everything.She will take care about their necessities,and in some case she can prepare in advance something they need at their arrival.
    A 'welcome kit' is ready at home,however:water,milk,marmalade,season fruits,typical Sicilian lemons,the and sometimes flowers.
  • Please, ask for pool availability in low season! Owing to weather conditions ,it could be closed!

My favourite holiday of all time

The pictures do not do this Villa justice. It is bigger brighter and even more beautiful. The views are incredible. My family and I had one of the best holidays we ever had!! and we travel alot. Lipari itself is so unspoiled of its natural beauty, yet still has all the convenience you could ask for, it is absolutely charming. The people are incredibly friendly and gracious. From the moment we got there we had the neighbours giving us fresh tomatoes and capers from there garden!! I cant even describe how good the food is...try Ristorante Filippino my fav restaurant. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone going to Lipari and staying in this Villa, it was truly a vacation I will never forget.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this villa. It exceeded our expectations for a quiet Italian get-away. If you enjoy exercise, the hike to the beach is invigorating. The pool provided great entertainment for our young boys. Rent a very small car or scooters to get around this charming little island - the roads are narrow!

Quiet villa with a nice view

We spent 2 weeks in the villa with a group of 5 friends. The villa is situated in a quiet location and the view is very nice. The villa is very well equipped. The description given on the website is accurate. The only downside we can think of is that the villa is situated on a steep slope and the last 500 m of the road is very narrow (difficult for unexperienced driver/big car). The sea is only ca. 500 m from the villa but the access is also rather steep (you need good walking shoes to get there). However, once there, you are on a nice almost private pebble beach. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed and safe sphere on the island of Lipari and the many restaurants in the Lipari town. There are not many tourists. So, you can really relax and you will have many places and small beaches for yourself. If you get borred by the main island it is easy to visit the neighboring islands such as Stromboli or Vulcano by ferry or a private boat. It is certainly a good location for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

Idyllic and peaceful

My wife and I had a glorious fortnight in this charming villa with the most spectacular view. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, simply but beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. Its position ensures a lovely refreshing breeze (once or twice a little stronger!), and we loved just sitting watching boats going by in the distance and watching the lights of Sicily twinkling at night. The housekeeper and her family were delightful and helpful, as was the owner. A five minute drive into town meant that trips to restaurants and shops were easy, and as charming as Lipari town centre is, it was always nice to escape back into the hills.

The local beach requires a degree of fitness (especially on the way back up!), but we mostly stayed by the pool. Restaurants were good and plentiful and boat trips around the islands an essential part of the experience.

We would recommend it highly for those looking for charm and relaxation.
