Independent villa over looking the sea with a breathtaking waterfront view. Direct access to the rocky coast, beside our property. Located in Mongerbino, 25 km from Palermo, in a strategic point to reach this interesting town and other sites of artistic and cultural interest (Monreale, Cefalù, Solunto, Bagheria ). Agrigento and its temples are one hour away. Very close to Mongerbino seaports like Porticello and Aspra great for buying fish. The house has a nice garden and a very big terrace which is divided into two parts; one side is exposed to the sun and a beautiful view of Capo Zafferano and the other side is protected by an awning. The inside of the house has been remodelled and has a big and very sunny living room, a kitchen, master bedroom and two other bedrooms; it has a bathroom with a shower. The house is surrounded by windows and you have a beautiful view wherever you look. It's advisable to have a car because the closest centre is 3 km away.

Villa Laura Marie is in Mongerbino, in a very quiet area but only 25 km from Palermo, and 6 km. from the highway ( Palermo-Catania ) in a strategic point to visit western and central Sicily. Very close to Mongerbino seaports like Porticello , full of restaurants, and Aspra, both great for buying fish. In Bagheria ( 10 minutes away ), known for the villas that noble people built in the 18th century, you can find whatever you need ( stores, food shops and a variety of services ). The capital of Sicily is a big Mediterranean city, rich of artistic sites and full of the traces of the different peoples and civilizations of its past ( Romans, Arabs, Normans, Swabians and Bourbons ). You can not miss Palermo's baroque palaces and churches, the Byzantine mosaics of the Palatine chapel, the cathedral that unites Gothic and Norman art. In the vicinity other sites of artistic and cultural interest (Monreale, Cefalù, Solunto). Agrigento and its temples are about one hour away as Trapani.

Our concept of quality: The renting of villa Laura Marie is carried out directly from the owners. We enjoy the house for some weeks during the year and we try to constantly improve it, figuring out what tourists may like. We love the house and we hope this feeling reaches you while you stay in the villa. Here are some things we can assure you: - What you see (in the photos ) is what you get - An accurate cleaning of the house before you arrive. - A person that will wait for you in the house ( usually the owners ) and will show you the villa explaining you what is necessary to feel comfortable from the first moment. Written instructions about the house. - A person who can e-mail you in English, give you information while you are reserving and talk with you on the phone if necessary. - Receiving suggestions and information about the area and brochures about Palermo and other sites to visit. - Our little collection of books about Sicily, maps etc. for you in the house.

a close access to Monte Catalfano Park: From this summer at 50 meters from our villa there is an access to Monte catalfano park. Some trails will bring you into the Mediterranean scrub and will let you observe from above the coast with Capo Zafferano, the village of Aspra and the town of Bagheria.

Your villa Laura Marie was perfect for our trip. The pictures on your website described the place accurately and, to our delight, the villa even more beautiful than the pictures let on! It was very clean and well laid-out - the bedrooms were wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom was lovely - we appreciated the great water pressure in the shower. Thank you for your personal advice on the area, despite the fact that the villa was hard to leave each day! The swimming below was wonderful - warm in late October and very buoyant. The views from the property were panoramic and the gulls kept us company. The only things I might add would be a washing machine and Wifi - other than that...nothing. We will certainly recommend your villa to our travelling friends! Have a great winter - we have immensely fond memories of our time at Laura Marie!

Impressive nature and breathtaking views

We had a beautiful stay 2009 in mid of May for one week. The property is in a beautiful spot right on the ocean. It is a very quite place which alows to enjoy the nature around. The house is set up very nicely and everything worked very well. The only very little problem for us (Italians) was that the television did not fetch well the italian programms and that even though all windows and doors have moskito protection it could make sense to have moskito nets over the beds (besause not all guests close well the doors entering and leaving the house). These are just some very minor things to improve in a fatastic and well followed house in an exceptional position over the ocean. It's a perfect place for relax but also in a good position for sightseeing tours by car. In general you need a car to reach shopping etc., by foot it is too far. A special Grazie Mille to the owners of the property who share this beautiful place with rental guests.

Pictures do not do this villa justice. Four of us spent a fabulous week here and enjoyed every moment. The villa is equiped to a very high standard. Antonio asked for suggestions for improvements, the only thing we could think of were a few extra utensils to improve the cooking facilities. To cook a great meal and devour it with a bottle or two of wine on the terrace was a delight. I am 100% convinced that these utensils will be provided almost immediately as one felt that everything that was done in the villa and surrounding garden was done with care and pride.

Sicily was better than any of us expected, the villa is well placed for visiting various spots, alternatively to just chill out would be one of life's pleasures!!

Thank you very much - I am sure we will be back when we hope to swim.

A car is recommended.

The house was superb - as expected after the description -, well-maintained, clean, the owners nice, the looks great, good restaurants nearby, perfect for trips all over the island. We had a great and relaxing time.

We (2 couples) stayed for a week in May, 2008. It is more beautiful than the pictures depict. Laundry was an issue; we paid a fortune at a cleaners. We were power tourists; next time I'd like to just sit there for a full week, leaving only to acquire fresh food to prepare.
