Charming Tuscan villa with private pool and breathtaking view
Casa Fantone is a typical detached farmhouse, 300 years old, remodelled and updated with a wide private garden of 5 hectares and a private pool of 6 x 12 meters. The villa lies in a quiet hill near Poppi village, 30 km to Arezzo and 50 km to Florence, and it has a good level of furniture. The villa has modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, but it still gives one the feeling of stepping back in history.). The villa, made by stones, is exposed to the sun and it has a fantastic view on the Casentino valley. Absolute privacy and a maximum of security are guaranteed, also because the property is fenced in and the access is possible only through an automatic gate. A typical Tuscan terrace close to the kitchen can be an opportunity to have your breakfast or to drink a glass of Chianti with your friends looking down at the beautiful valley. In the terrace you will also discover an ancient baking oven which could hold at least 20 pizzas at a time. If only those walls could talk!

Casa Fantone holiday house lies into the Casentino valley, the first valley crossed by Arno river. Casentino valley offers a soft landscape full of vegetation and characteristic places like Casentino Forest Park, the medieval village of Poppi with his castle, S.Francisco sanctuary of La Verna, Camaldoli Hermitage, Romena towers and a lot of ancient churches. In one hour of driving you can visit all Tuscany cities and villages like Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Lucca, Cortona, S.Gemignano, Volterra, Pisa, Montepulciano, Assisi and Chiantishire.

Low Cost Airport
There are two low cost airport no so far to Casa Fantone: PISA airport and FORLI airport. Pisa - Firenze not more than 30 minutes of driving through the Superstrada Firenze-Pisa-Livorno ( FI-PI-LI ) which arrives into the Pisa airport. Also Bologna airport is quite good.
Shops
The nearest villages are S. Martino and Quota, 2,5 km far from the villa, in which there are grocery shops and a bar. In Quota there is also a family restaurant. Supermarkets and any other kind of shop are in Ponte a Poppi, 5 km away. In Bibbiena, 8 km away, there is a wide and new commercial centre: 'COOP of Casentino'. There is also the Casentino valley hospital. Every day of the week there is an outdoor market in some of Casentino's villages. Tuesday is the Ponte a Poppi day for its open market. The fourth Saturday of each month, in Bibbiena, it’s possible to buy agricultural produce directly from the producer. Every first week end of the month in Arezzo there is an important fair of antiques. At the villa it is possible to buy little quantity of Casa Fantone olive oil and also Chianti wine. Two outlets are available: Foiano della Chiana outlet, Montevarchi outlet.
Hospitality
The property is rented to only one party. The owner lives in a little village 2.5 km far from the house. He is satisfied of his work only if their guests have no problems: friendliness, a welcome basket with some local products as a bottle of Casa Fantone organic olive oil, a welcome breakfast introducing them Casentino valley and Tuscany. Any information and help are offered. The owner will care for everything that is necessary to allow Casa Fantone’s guests a good holiday. Houseguests can taste natural fruit and vegetables from the garden, when they are available.
Other Activities football, volley - A good certificated Shiatsu person can give you massages.
Golf Information:
Located on a panoramic hill 5 km far from Casa Fantone villa, Golf Club Casentino offers: 9 holes, Driving Range, a beautiful view. Open all year long. It’s possible to rent Golf facilities. Office time table: every day 9 – 13 and 14 – 19. Telephone: 0039 0575 529810
