Villa Loreto- Under the Tuscan Sun
Looking at the beautiful small town of Cortona built by the Etruscans and overlooking a vast valley, this villa offers you a maximum of beauty, comfort and peace. Here, you can relax on the vineyard terrace in the midst of 7 hectares of land and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view. You can also watch a functioning winery and olive oil production. Or you may visit the Etruscan tombs in the neighbourhood and explore the nearby historical sites such as Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto. The lake of Trasimeno is a 20 minutes drive away. The origins of the villa, with its two pictoresque fireplaces, date back as far as the 17th century. It has been fully and beautifully restored and furnished. Each of the two levels are of approx. 1400 sq.ft. There is a large 'salotto' (living area) on the ground floor. The upper level consists of the dining room, a fully equipped, modern kitchen, four bedrooms, consisting of 3 matrimonial beds and 2 single beds, and two modern bathrooms.

There is something special about the historical town of Cortona, the place of the famous novel 'Under the Tuscan Sun'. Located approx. 1 km from the villa, it offers not only beautiful monuments, an Etruscan museum, atmospheric restaurants and shopping facilities, but also, because of its altitude (600 m) a fantastic panorama around. One can see the wide fertile plain of the Valdichiana, the hills of Siena, Montepulciano and Monte Amiata, and the shining expanse of Lake Trasimeno. It is a typical Tuscan landscape, a mixture of art and nature, medieval and renaissance. The road from the plains to the city winds through terraced olive groves divided by stone walls, pines, small farms, monasteries and monumental churches.
