I can't let another day go by without telling you how grateful I am for the use of [your home] during our stay in Firenze. You are so generous, and I will never forget how perfect those 2 weeks were! The apartment is just wonderful - so attractive and well-appointed, and so conveniently located. . . Truly the apartment was beyond my wildest expectations - so spacious, and so nicely furnished. Being on the lane of Via Toscanella was a slice of real life, and so convenient to the market and little groceries. It was fun to see who was at the cafe whenever we came out our door. And I loved Quattro Leoni, . . . I think having such a good restaurant so nearby is a big asset.
I loved seeing your husband's art, too. I stayed in the room across the courtyard, and very much enjoyed the scene of Firenze on 'my' wall. His art is so versatile.
