Nestled in the green scenery of olive plantation and vineyards, PIAZZA DI SOPRA is right in the heart of Chianti Florentine Hills, 30 Km south of Florence. Located in the top of a hill, above Reggello, the panorama is ample and inspiring. Our Locations are two beautiful apartments, in the middle of the park, each one with independent access and own private garden. Inside the property there is a large parking for guest's cars. Let’s go to spend a day at the swimming pool (12m x 6m), tasting a good bottle of wine and a piece of bread, with our olive oil (Reggello has the best olive oil in the world). Here you can enjoy absolute peace and let your soul fly over the Arno Valley.

In the upper part of the Villa, where in the past the crop used to be dried, a very nice apartment has been restored. On the first floor a roomy living room and kitchen, with fire-place, a double bedroom with bathroom and shower and independent access from outside. On the upper floor another large double bedroom, a single bedroom sharing a further bathroom with shower. Each apartment has its own color TV and independent heating. Kitchens are perfectly equipped and in the garden guests can enjoy a BARBECUE With the renovation great importance was attached to maintain the ancient structures of the farm for preserving the original atmosphere. The used materials are the traditional Tuscan materials such as terracotta, marble and stone. Both the locations are finely furnished with the typical Italian taste, so PIAZZA DI SOPRA is a successful combination of the quality of living of a passed time with the luxury of nowadays.

Excellent regional cooking nearby. Reggello is famous for the olive oil and groves. Reggello is a a very good start for every trip in Tuscany and Umbria because it is located exactly at the center of Italy, for example by car: Florence (20 min.), Siena (40 min), Arezzo (30 min.), Pisa (1 h 30m), Rome (2 h 30), Perugia (1 h), Gubbio (1 h 30). Situated at an altitude of 400m above sea level, with a population numbering 14.000, Reggello stretches along the Setteponti (Seven Bridges) roadway, which dates from the Etruscan era. It is olive oil with has sustained this area since time immemorial, and even today oil is cold-pressed using the local mill. Lovely position overlooking Reggello, a 5 minute drive away, with a good swimming pool and a very large well-maintained garden. House itself (we had La Residenza) is a little old fashioned but with character, but recently installed bathrooms. Kitchen very small.
Owners don't speak any English but quite hospitable. 2 good restaurants in Reggello and many more within 15 min drive.
Good train service from nearby station to Florence to avoid the traffic.
Swimming pool has no shallow end (5' throughout), and no steps, only a ladder.
