'La luce' a charming cottage among the hills of Florence

The cottage is situated just 10 minutes from Florence among the hills between Settignano and Fiesole, the cottage is situated close to the owners Villa. The cottage has a large garden and share (with the owner) a swimming pool. The cottage has recently renovated (with AC) with a large living room, a fully furnished kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. There is a large double bed, a double sleeping sofa and another single sleeping sofa .Settignano, a peaceful, residential district located on one of the hills overlooking the city of Florence, shares its artistic fame with nearby Fiesole. The original village was probably founded by an important Roman family, thus fundus Septinianus, when Florentia was chosen as the residence of the united regions of Etruria and Umbria

Settignano, a tranquil residential district located on one of the hills overlooking the city of Florence, shares its artistic fame with nearby Fiesole. The original village was probably founded by an important Roman family, thus fundus Septinianus, when Florentia was chosen as the residence of the united regions of Etruria and Umbria Florence, was founded by the Roman Emperor, Septimus Severus, but there are some signs that its origins date back even farther into antiquity. Settignano has always been considered an ideal summer residence for rest and meditation, as witnessed by the long presence of castles and villas of notable Florentines (especially the Guelfa family). For centuries Settignano has served as the preferred location of residence for such luminaries as Giovanni Boccaccio, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Niccolò Tommaseo, Gabriele d’Annunzio, Leo Stein, and many others who appreciated the healthful atmosphere, restful hills and fields of grapes and olives.
