Tina and Franco welcome you to La Tinaia, their authentic Tuscan farmhouse winery. La Tinaia is located on a privileged spot at only 9 km away to Florence city centre (15' drive) which can be easily reached by bus. It is particularly recommended for those who want to spend holidays under the sign of peace and visit cultural centers of Florence, San Gimignano, Siena and the road of Chianti with its characteristic villages of Castellina, Greve, Radda ... The farmhouse offers 2 flats which were renovated with the greatest care and in the traditional Tuscan style with high, wooden beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and ancient furniture. The apartments have excellent natural light and enjoy far reaching and spectacular views over the hills. Both have Sat TV and air cond. LA VIGNA apartment is very romantic and cosy. It is composed of a living-dining room with a fully equipped cooking area, one bathroom and one bedroom loft mezzanine. It was renovated with the greatest care and in the traditional local style, with terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings and ancient furniture. It has air conditioning, central heating and satellite TV, and splendid views over the surrounding hills and country side. All the windows of this apartment have mosquito screens.

A large garden with a beautiful sweeping view over the Chianti land, offers outdoor eating possibilities with a barbecue and a traditional wood-oven and charming spots for relaxing and free-time activities (bowl’s playing-field and ping-pong). A large and characteristic, common living-dining room with a large fireplace and a kitchen contributes to creating a friendly atmosphere. On request, we organize Tuscan cooking class 2-3 afternoons per week (minimum 4 persons).

I am really happy I had a chance to spend my holiday time at so nice place! Owners of so tuscanian farmhouse are very helpful, friendly and descrete! Beautiful and useful apartment, new and clean swimming-pool, pretty garden... everything was there. Even tasty wine drunk every night in the garden and produced by owners of farmhouse! Just Eden! The access to 'la Tinaia' is really easy and location gives huge possibilities of sightseeing not only tuscanian hills but so famous and beautiful cities like Florence, Arezzo, St. Giminiano, Greve...
I'D LIKE TO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE VERY MUCH!!!

A wonderful stay in Chianti hills next to Florence

We discovered a marvellous old farm, entirely adjusted to modern standards, with a very nice view over the hills south of Firenze. The scenery is great and the house clean with all the comfort one would need for a one-week stay (accurate description: furnished kitchen, washing-machine, TV set). The swimming-pool is clean, warm, not too deep which is then perfect for children and open to the marvellous Chianti landscape (wineyard and woods). The owners are fluent in French and English and are so nice with their guests that you really feel home from the very beginning. This place is ideal to visit the surroundings, though driving a car is compulsory: Firenze is only 15min. far by car (parking place at Florence railway station), Siena is 45 min., Pisa and Lucca around 55 min. We do recommend this place to anyone who wants to discover Toscany and keep a nice memory about it.
