A beautiful Tuscan house with stunning views

We stayed in this charming house for one week with two teenage children. Our aim was for a relaxing week in the sun by a pool which is exactly what this house provides. The house has been restored with a great deal of care and thought. It is spacious, very well equipped and exceptionally clean. Every thing you could need was provided, from an Italian coffee maker to irons and hairdryers. It has immense charm and character with amazing views from every window. Immediately outside your door is a sitting area with a table and comfortable chairs which allows you to sit in the shade and read whilst looking out over the valley and to the hills beyond. Just a few steps away is the most beautiful pool I have ever swum in. An infinity pool looking out onto the beautiful valley and hills; a view of olive trees, old stone houses tucked into the hillside and the Chianti mountains. Completely private and plenty of sun loungers and chairs to relax in. The pool itself is very deep, perfect for swimming lengths for the more active.
Overall this property is very private, very quiet and of an excellent standard. At the top of the road is a baker/deli/general store which opens even on a Sunday, so arriving late on a Saturday night as we did is not a problem as you can get all the basics the following morning. Pelago, the nearest town has a small but good co-op
We drove to Pontasieve nearby to catch the train to Florence, and another day drove to Poggibonsi to take the train to Siena. Our hostess was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property.
