Situated on the edge of the Casentinesi Forest park in the heart of uncontaminated nature, 500m above sea level among woods and oak trees, this beautiful farmhouse is perfectly furnished with three bedrooms (sleeps four people) on two floors. Living room with large fireplace, big kitchen, big bathroom and store room. Beautiful walks on paths with panoramic views in a the natural habitat of wildlife of the area (squirrels, deer, wild boar, pheasant and badgers). Swimming pool under construction. Bilancino Lake 18km away, historic Medici Villa Cafaggiolo 20km away. Arezzo 25km Florence 35km, Bologna 80km. Nearest motorway exit A1 Barberino del Mugello.

A wonderful place away from it all

If you are looking for some peace and quiet in the beautiful Tuscan countryside and within easy reach of Florence this is a great place to come. It's a little quirky and the owners live in houses on the same plot of land but we all really enjoyed ourselves. The host is welcoming but very laid-back and lets you get on with it. It's a ten minute drive up a steep hill from the main road (the last bit is unsurfaced) so no quick trips to the shops! There are also a couple of dogs around but they are harmless enough. A beautiful national park is nearby and also lakes for swimming. The swimming pool has a stunning view...
